EEp! Did you see the crashing curtain? Someone posted this on TWOP

You can hear him laugh, when he's singing "another alien on Broadway." (Is that what he says?)

Yeah, the curtain should have been down already for Ain't No Sunshine. (I think?)He was probably worrying all through ANS how he was going to get through that curtain to his guitar for the solo in Bright Lights.

Bah! I never even thought of that part of it. That would have been a little amusing to see him fight to get through the curtain in 0.05 seconds.

Trying to watch Honor Society video but my YouTube keeps stopping/starting, with that annoying spinning circle...well, anyhow, they suck. :)

Ha! Seeing him try to get through the curtain would have been epic/horriffic.
Thank God for the stagehand who ran out and tore it down.

Off topic: I just took the "Which Beatle are you?" quiz on AOL and got Paul McCartney.

About RCA vs Jive: I saw the other day that Daughtry's latest record, on iTunes, is copyrighted (is that a verb?) to "19 Recordings Ltd. under exclusive license to RCA/JIVE label group, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment" (Daughtry is signed to RCA supposedly). As a reference, Cook's record and Kelly's latest record were under "19 Recordings Ltd." only, without the mention of RCA. Archie's record is under "19 Recordings Ltd. under exclusice license to Zomba Recording LLC", without any mention of Jive. I saw all that and I just wondered what it all meant. Also, if you check the latest Backstreet Boys single (yeah, I checked to see what it sounded like and didn't like it), it's under "RCA/JIVE Label group, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment". And they are signed to Jive from what I could find. Seems like the boundaries (!) between RCA and Jive and pretty slim. Whatever, it may not mean anything and I may not understand all of that properly, but I thought it was somewhat interesting and, in the end, it probably doesn't really matter much where they are all signed.

I am so not Ringo. lol

Hmm, you're probably right that it doesn't matter at all. I find it interesting too though. It's probably a very convoluted reason isn't it? lol

Okay that was a different quiz.. That one gave me Paul. How can I be both Ringo and Paul? Is that scientific? ;)

I'm John Lennon apparently!

You value the creative and artistic, and you have a great sense of humor. Though you're a born leader who says what's on your mind, you also have your doubts and insecurities. You're practically inseparable from your loved ones and will often choose family over friends. Just dial back the revolutionary bit just a little, and you'll get all the love you need.

I'm not sure that's 100% accurate, but most of that description definitely sounds like me! What was the description for Paul McCartney?

The Paul McCartney description wouldn't let me copy and paste it, for some reason.
I couldn't link to it, either.

Doesn't work, it brings me to the beginning of the quiz. I had trouble copying it too. I somehow right-clicked and clicked on parameters and after that, the text was highlighted. Weird, but that's how I copied it.

Some Milwaulkee video of Kris:

American Idol: Idol winner Kris Allen performs on tour (with video)

ANS: You can see where the curtain is supposed to fall in this video.

Heartless cuts out before the end.

You were right, SleepinIn, he got huge screams in Gokeyland.

ETA: Nope, I couldn't copy the thing (Beatles). I just will type it out. Here it is:

You're ambitious and hard-working, and you want to be appreciated for it. You're highly social and enjoy the company of others. Things come easy to you, so you sometimes expect others to keep up the same pace. You are quite the people pleaser; sometimes to a fault. So you don't have to try so hard -- we see you standing there.

Yeah, that's about right, I guess...like you said, not 100%, but it sounds more like me than the John Lennon description.

Kris possibly working with Ryan Tedder.

Oh no. Why are they all working with Ryan Tedder? He's the master of generic songwriting. Not too happy about this.

Dan Wilson though (Is that relatively new info?)? I can totally get behind. I really liked Closing Time way back when and he co-wrote the amazing Details In the Fabric and Song for a Friend with Mraz. Yay!

It's small, you have to blow it up. I got it from Adam's website.

I don't know, missaddicted, I'm still glad Kris seems to be getting the star treatment from his label. I'm glad they're trying him out with the best people in the business. I think realistically Kris is in a position right now where he has to have pop hits. It's a little backwards, it would be nice if he could be very true to his art and slowly be discovered. But he's already been discovered, and on a very generic TV music show, where he sang mostly pop hits. At least he has a very personal style, so I'm hopeful that style, that made him so popular, will come through regardless of the material, and make the material a little more personal. If that makes sense.

Yes, that makes sense, but Ryan Tedder, for me, is not one of the best people in the business, he's 19 Recordings "go-to" guy. He worked with Clay, with Blake, with Kelly, with Adam and now with Kris (and Leona Lewis, I hate Bleeding Love with the fire of a thousand suns). I know that Kris needs a pop hit, but if it's a pop hit that sounds like all the other pop hits, it's just boring.

Pretty much all the other collaborations make me more hopeful that the Tedder collaboration, even if I think that The Fray, Daughtry and Mat Kearney are all somewhat bland. I definitely hope that Kris' style comes through, this is what is going to make or break his record for me.

I'm anxious about Ryan Tedder - but it's undeniable that the guy can craft songs that people want to listen to. Even very similar songs like Kelly and Beyonce's both went on to be big hits individually. It's good even for networking purposes to work with him. You never know.. down the road. It's a good thing.

I'm really interested in the people that they have working with Kris, there are still people who's songs he still hasn't really looked at..

Aside from the previously mentioned and now Ryan Tedder And Dan Wilson, there is still the to be done colaboration with Alex Band and there is the song that Nat Jay and Stephen Bishop wrote with Kris in mind. So it will be interesting to see what makes the album. I'm getting so excited about his album.

Still have to watch the video and read Daniel's interview..but thanks so much for finding them for me (yay!) :) I read the review.. don't agree. Even though I wasn't there.. still don't agree. lol. I am stubborn.

I like Bleeding Love. I don't like Leona Lewis, much, but when other people sing it I like it a lot. I think Apologize is a great song, I like Halo, and some of his other stuff. Guess I probably like his songs better than you do.

Tedder is the writer of the hit song, "Apologize," performed by his band OneRepublic, which as of 2008 is the best-selling and charting single of the decade. The song broke the US Top 40's Radio Airplay Record with 10,331 spins in one week. It was the number-one most played song for five months until May 7, 2008 when Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love" (a song that Tedder co-wrote and produced), broke the record previously set by "Apologize," with 10,665 spins in one week.

I don't mind that Kris is working with the guy who wrote the best-selling song of the decade.

Yeah, not really a bad thing. For the press alone. LOL

Oh, Yeah!!! Relly awards voting tomorrow for Kris! Don't Forget! :)
