I didn't really like Faber Drive's Christmas effort. Disco-fied hymns are not my favorite things (unlike whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens).
You think that article was a good thing for Brian? Well, it may have gotten him some sympathy, I guess.
Now I want to change the subject and talk about stuff I don't understand - such as why Mike Posner should have second hit on the radio after Cooler That Me. And he sings it (and everything) in that same annoying baby voice. You guys remember that review I linked to, when he played in Boston last summer? About how bad he was, live? If the review was to be believed. I was just looking at the VH1 countdown and his new song, Please Don't Go, is at #6. Why do these people make it? This guy is like a Brian Austin Green clone, only worse.
Today I found myself wondering why Jive (or whoever it was) took from June to September to make a video for The Truth, and why all that effort was finally made for a song that had begun to stall by that point. I was also wondering why they took so long to release a second single in the first place. No, they were not trying to decide what the single should be. That doesn't take weeks and weeks. When decisions need to be made, they're made, even if it means flipping a coin. So - any speculations, about these things?
Because to me the failure of The Truth to reach big hit status seems to be the reason why, as you say, Jive doesn't want to spend a lot of money on this current one. It seems a shame to let one song (TT) mean so much. Even that doesn't seem to be a good reason. So the guy had one massive hit and one disappointment. Many artists do just that. And the labels just ignore the disappointment and try again.
Anyhow, it seems they're the ones who screwed up The Truth, in so many ways, from release date to video to adding Pat Monahan - even the fact that they released it as the second single at all. So why does Kris need to assume all the blame for it? If he is. And it seems he is.
(And anyway - this is all I'm gonna say, I promise - I'm done: the song was hardly a colossal flop. It wasn't Ishtar. It did a lot better than what they've been releasing for Archie. I think Kris even gets a plaque from Billboard for a Top 20 HAC song.)
Okay.. quick...who's better?

To me, the one who doesn't sound like a sick cow giving birth is better. But Simon...ohh, that Simon...
Here's a list of what Kris has been doing since November 2009.

PS. I think if you look at most of the Christmas shows from last year, they were in fact with the full band, except maybe a couple (like the Florida one - I don't think that was. Even the acoustic stuff here in MA and in CT was full band).
