Ok. They played INTK. I may die happy now. But first I have to see it on video :)

I often think - maybe it's obvious, again, but still - many artists start out on their first tour and are minor disasters. They or their band have no real experience, or they play to empty houses. Or they can't perform live.

Yep, slow and steady after all. :) They're just good. People notice good.

I think Lee mentioned listening to Kris's album and liking it, but you're right. There seemed to be a disconnection this year.

I know my feelings are irrational too. LOL. It just bugs me that they did FS. (and I even liked it and bought it) It still bugs.

You know what was weird about that? MJ did a transcript from the press conference and that quote was not there. I mean, I'm sure he said it, some people reported it. But MJ didn't, or what she reported was very half-assed compared to what Lee supposedly said (I was following the tweets as he was doing the conference).

Anyhow, that vindicated him somewhat for me. But the way they've taken over Falling Slowly just grates.

Yeah, it's true I'm getting in too deep tonight. The result of looking at MJ's blog, I guess. Plus, my car didn't put me in a great mood. And the fact that every appliance in my place seemed to have konked out at the same time and I'm going broke.

I neeeeed to knooooow.

BTW, I'm sure there must be something offensive in those photos for the Glamberts to complain about. It will turn out the T-shirt represents some offensive symbol to the Hopi Indians. Or the jeans were made in a Burmese sweat shop. Or he had his hair cut in a salon once owned by the great-aunt of Saddam Hussein. Or maybe people who wear cardigan sweaters are homophobic.

I don't feel like you guys about FS. I guess I just don't really have any feeling about it, either good or bad. I like both versions and that's pretty much it.

What Lee said about Kris' album aside from liking it is that he liked that Kris got to have so much input into his album and that he thought it was great. I'm not sure it was during the press conference though, I just looked at what IdolTracker and Brian Mansfield reported and it was not in there. But I know he said something like that.

It was tweeted by a.i. now. That's where I saw it.

MJ:

Tonight Kris Allen performs at The Intersection club in Grand Rapids, MI. It his 2nd tour date with Green River Ordinance as the opening act, following last night’s concert in Madison, WI. For those who care, the capacity of this club was listed at 835 in an April 2010 article about the venue.

Why is she looking up and reporting venue capacity? Sometimes I think she feeds the frenzy. Or is she snarking?

Good two-page interview with Kris.

'Idol' winner Allen keeps a piece of Wisconsin with him at all times | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press Gazette

Positive word of mouth.

gotta live like we’re dying. just a one girl revolution.

Below is a kind of stupid but basically good review from Madison. I always say it's unfortunate that now we have internet, local reviews are now read by everyone. I think any of us could have written a better review. Not that it isn't positive, overall, it's just kind of goofy.

Okay...first, I'd say it's a good thing the band seems like buddies jamming rather than backup for an Idol singer (see, Lambert, Adam). Also, the entertainment value of that seems to have gone over her head. Bands are like buddies playing together. Some day if these guys stick together they might be a real band, rather than an Idol singer + backup.

I don't think I know what her point was about reality vs. Idol. I mean, I think she was saying Kris seemed more like a star on TV than he does in person. Or that, live, something is diminished. I'm not looking at the review right now but she seemed to make a big deal about people wearing chucks, or being casual, like the whole lack of Idol glamour was jarring to her.

And I'm not sure I agree with her comment about the venue. But I haven't been there, so who knows? Also, the tweets said that the audience was mostly young, and she says it wasn't.

'Idol' winner's concert appeals to fans

I'm not sure about the photos, if they're from a fan or a pro. You can actually see them even bigger than what I posted, they're just really really good!

slowing it down on Twitpic

Yes, good (if not very deep) review. I'll take it!!

The Kris threads can be safe...or not. Usually they are.

See the above pic? I'm thinking there should be a way to get Ryland down front with the band, In Hedley's case, Crippin plays guitar. That sounds good. I wonder if they really need drums on the acoustic stuff? Also, some drummers (again, like Crippin) sometimes, play maracas, or bongos, etc

I love that they do a short acoustic set. I love acoustic!Kris, but I know that they can't only do acoustic shows, so it's a nice way to please everyone.
