Michael Orland, Debra Byrd talk Season 9 singers - Idol Chatter: American Idol News, Rumors, & Information

^^Got around to reading this (I think you referred to it, SleepinIn).

Thank goodness there was yet another plug for Adam from Michael Orland. Because he isn't overpraised enough, and needs the publicity. :angry3:

Byrd, who said she was surprised by the elimination of Lilly Scott (and earlier Joe Munoz and Ashley Rodriguez), said she's never seen a finalist group with so many guitar players and jokes "we have to be careful so it doesn't sound like a big hootenanny."

I don't care for that remark, either! It sounds more like Tess, on mj's blog. (A hootenanny, I believe, is a big ol' country/folk music get together, with lots of guitars and banjos, and all the folks in the audience joining in, singing, dancing, clapping, etc. Very informal and down-home.) What is this old-fashioned notion, lately, that guitars = country/folk? People have been paying attention to rock, soul, pop, etc. for the past, oh, fifty years, right?

That's great!! Sounds like a good day. That's great for Kris, too -- he must be making money from that.

Just went over to VH1 and I see that Adam is #1 again. This time it is the "unplugged" version of WWFM (which he record for VH1). Is VH1 is strictly on the up and up about their Top 20? I don't know, but anyway, Kris slipped down to #9 this week, so if you remember, give him some votes, before he's off the countdowm altogether. :(

You did well. That couldn't have been easy.

Here's the full list:

Young Artists for Haiti - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Looks like Dave Faber (Faber Drive) and Brandon Lehti (The Latency) are also in there somewhere (chorus). Also, City And Colour. I don't know if any of them appear in the video. My knowledge of Canadian Artists isn't great, it's pretty hit or miss. (Oh, and they say it's Justin Nozuka, not George. Are they related, btw?)

Wow, SleepinIn! I bow down to you!

With Pierre Lapointe, the blonde girl is Ima and I didn't know who the black haired girl was, but from the link that ross posted, it seems to be Elisapie Isaac.

And yes, it's Justin Nozuka... is there a George Nozuka? I hadn't recognized Justin Nozuka, but it's probably because I tend to forget he's Canadian!

This (a post from MJ's blog) doesn't sound good:

Anyone know why the tour dates for Kris with Keith Urban have been taken off Kris Allen Official? And why Kris suddenly can’t talk about it?
The announcement is still on Keith Urban’s web site.

George was born one of seven children to American Canadian mother Holly Sedgwick and Japanese father Hiromitsu Nozuka. Sedgwick raised Nozuka and his six siblings as a single mother. He is the older brother of singer Justin Nozuka, modern dancer Henry Nozuka, and actor Philip Nozuka. Other family members include Christian, another musician and two sisters, Margaret and Sandra (Sandy).

That is strange. I hope it's still on. Kris seemed excited to open for Keith Urban. Makes me glad I didn't buy tickets for that Vermont fair right away.

Thanks for the info about George Nozuka. Is he a singer? Seems like quite the artistic family!

I guess he's a singer. I think you can check YouTube.

I don't know why they'd take the announcements off Kris's website unless he's no longer opening for Keith. Apparently when Kris was asked about appearing with Keith, in one of those recent Q&A's, he said he couldn't talk about it.

But I don't get why he would be pulled. Keith is still scheduled for the appearances.

Gives me a sinking feeling.

Anybody hearing anything more?

(By the way, the same creeps seem to troll all sites where Kris is mentioned. Even country music sites. No escape!)

Ooo.. thanks for the list. That makes it easier. LOL

And George and Justin look a lot alike. Well, they did when they both had short hair anyway. I think George released his music first. He's more RnB / dance pop. Justin I'd say is more indie. And George only went by George - not George Nozuka. If I'm not mistaken he was managed or discovered by a Backstreet Boy or a member of N'Sync... ???

YouTube - George - Talk To Me

And I don't like the idea of the Keith Urban dates being removed either. What is goin' on?
