Ross, you've got to take the crap that gets posted and put it in the "blah, blah, blah" file. I know it's hard to ignore stupidity. Really hard sometimes. But it will just drive you nuts. Take a break from reading the comments or skip certain threads. You know which ones.

I'm glad we have our little oasis too. :love2:

It was in the headlines thread. I wan't upset about the stupid post. And I didn't post in any kind of angry mood, myself. All I was upset about was seeing "Your comment is awaiting moderation" under my post.

In other words, I find her guidelines too hard to follow. (Also, they seem to be subject to whims.) I can't just post "I'm so happy for Kris" all the time. I think most forums/blogs let you speak your piece if you're nice and reasonable. So that's all I'm saying. I can't stand spending a lot of time trying to word a post so that it's stays within the guidelines, only to see it's in moderation. Especially when so much crap gets allowed, it seems.

Kris looks kind of bad in those pics. He chose a bad day to look unphotogenic.

This was another post on mj's. It's basically what I was saying in my post over there. Adam's fans are going crazy about that Palm Springs show because they're Adam-deprived.

"Lol – yeah, a bunch of us east coasters are making the trip there! We were like, ok, we don’t know WHEN more touring will come, so we want our Adam fix now

I have to say...okay, it's none of my business and I couldn't care less, but people coming from all over the country and the world just to see Adam sing in a casino in Palm Springs? It's not like he's never going to tour.

And I understand what you're saying, but those Headlines threads are actually the worst offenders. They're snippy and bitter and sometimes just plain hateful.

I think sometimes she throws a wide net when she's deleting a lot of posts. But you're right it spoils the mood.

He does, but you know it's not a bad thing to me.. there's less pretty boy Kris there. Since he always gets that label - I don't mind that he looks like he slept upside down underneath a bush somewhere.. very rock and roll. lol.

What I keep thinking is: How do you wake up in your comfortable apartment and take a shower and have breakfast and kiss your cute wife goodbye, and somehow come out looking like you went out all night bar hopping with Jacob Hoggard and slept in a gutter? It doesn't really compute.

I guess, to me, when Kris looks clean-shaven and with a good haircut (see his CD pics, or that pic on Kris Allen Addicts) he doesn't look like a squeaky-clean pretty boy. He just looks really good.

But they are the bestest fans ever! :) You're right though, Adam hasn't been doing any shows really - there is a lot of pent up Adam frustration.

What was Kris's most wanted super-power again? Oh, yes the ability to not take a shower. :) He tweeted earlier that he was rehearsing today so maybe they were rehearsing prior to the Grammy thing.

I don't get the pretty boy vibe either. But I have heard it said. It's not like the other artists were dressed to the nines. Did you see some of them?

Oh, I think it's borderline unhealthy-obsessive. I can see it if he's somehow playing a series of concerts in one place, where there are fan events -- and people decide to journey there for a weekend. But it's just a casino show, a set. I mean, it's got to cost hundreds of dollars to travel and stay there, and buy tix. Oh, well -- I'm not one of those kinds of fans. Supposedly people have contacted the venue from Asia? WTF? That's ridiculous.

No, I only saw Bon Jovi. He wasn't grungy, though.

I just reacted to how his look struck me. If he looked great that way, I wouldn't have said he didn't look good; I just don't think what suits Johnny Depp necessarily suits Kris. But he usually cleans up good.

Well, in their defense, some Cook fans are flying from all over to go see his show in February in California... and he did 156 shows in 2009!

And I myself paid a few hundreds of dollars to go see him in Albany. And honestly? Not a decision I regret. There would have been worse ways to spend my money. If I could afford it and if I wasn't so reasonable, I think I would've probably liked to have gone to more shows. I met (online and in person) several fans who saw him repeatedly (like 8, 10, 12 times) and they were all amazing and not creepy at all. There are creepier ones though, the "regulars", those who followed them around for 50 dates or more, but those are a handful of people.

Some of the fans are even flying from all over to Tulsa in the middle of February for a show that Cook's bandmates are giving (under their old name, MWK). I, myself, would LOVE to go to that show.

You know, I dislike a lot of the Glamberts with a passion, but I can't begrudge them for wanting to go see Adam live.

Those pictures of Kris are priceless! Yes, he looks pretty bad, but the faces he made! I LOL'ed really hard at that cat poster picture!

Okay. I want to say this right. So it doesn't sound like fan warring (lol).

All these contestants really like Kris and keep mentioning him. What about Adam? Or Danny? Or Allison? (Maybe people do mention them, I don't know.)

It kind of says something significant, to me. I mean, I can totally see why he matters to them. As a musician and a person. I just think it's very telling.

Michael Castro...I don't know about him. He rubs me the wrong way. But his Kris remarks were appreciated.
