It's a pretty good song and I hope it's a hit. The only problem I have is I'd prefer a more Mraz/Nathanson arrangement where the voice doesn't sound like it's gone through a production process.
Yay,
ross, you're still playing with us! And I agree with you about the production. But I pretty much expect all the record to be produced to death, so no surprise there. It's the complaint I hear the most about Cook's record: "It's so over-produced, we can't hear The Voice properly". So not having any expectations in that regard for Kris' record.
I think the song will also grow on me very fast, I can't wait to hear the whole version. And I agree that it's not really a cover. Still, Lindsay Parker already talked about it on her blog and while she liked it very much, she also mentionned the connection with The Script. So that info is already out there in the mainstream media, which I don't really like.
Where is she playing? A big place or small?
She's playing at The Metropolis which fits between 2000 and 2500 people (in general admission). I'll be there a lot in the next month actually! It's also the venue that David Cook is playing in two weeks (two weeks, eeee!!) and I'll also see Metric (and The Stills) there in a month. It's probably one of the venues that I've been to the most and I really like it.
I see I'm going to have to watch Glee or be out of the clique. You popular kids are making me feel like a band nerd.
LOL. I love Glee, really it was love at first sight and I can't get enough LOL. Usually, I pretty much only watch fantasy shows (Supernatural, Lost), but I'll make an exception for Glee.
I love Kris's voice. (<--news flash.)
No way!! *is shocked* I love it too of course and I also very much prefer the snippet of Kris singing it than the singer from The Script, even though I like his voice also.
