You don't need Trudeau to eliminate homelessness nor should the refugee situation affect it. Some people just have a difficult time wrapping their heads around more complex issues.

Medicine Hat has almost eliminated homelessness by giving homeless people the keys to their own apartments
Yeahhhh. Now look at Medicine Hat's population compared to places like Toronto and Vancouver where there are many, many more homeless than in Medicine Hat.
On top of simply providing homes for the homeless, they also need mental/emotional health care, something the Ontario Libtards gutted the f*ck out of when it comes to adults.
Giving someone a roof is only a temporary fix for most homeless people if they don't have access to proper mental health care.

That is a cop out. BC always had a homeless problem before Riverview closed. How do you think Cliff wound up in BC? He got here long before Riverview closed.

I'm guessing Ontario gave him a one way bus ticket out of their welfare system.

Other than Vancouver area there has never been much of a homeless problem in BC until the last few years. what I haven't figured out is if they are all homegrown or are moving here because of the climate and easy welfare.

On a per capita basis, Medicine Hat's homeless rate was on par with Calgary's. There was no shortage of individuals like you that made excuses as to why the problem couldn't be fixed and fortunately, people like you were ignored in Medicine Hat

Nope. Giving someone shack to do drugs in does what for the reason why they are doing drugs in a shack? Housing someone and providing a home are two different things.
Yeah, and the Old Stock Canadians on this board never gave two hoots about either until they became a stick to bash Muzzies with.

He is like thousands of other burnouts from Montreal and Hogtown he went west to pick fruit in the OK and then psilocybin on the coast in fall and ended up junkies using the system to survive.

Then they bred...

Are you high? Do you need a daily maintenance dose to keep yourself out of the gutter? Are you willing to pay for programs to cover their addiction leading to weaning like I am? Housing leading to sobriety and homes is the answer.

Cost wise? We can't afford not to.

You need a new tagline. Seriously.

Precisely. This is more'n you've said on the subject in a couple of years, until it became an argument for keeping out the Muzzies.

Awww you're stupidity is showing again. I didn't say it couldn't be fixed, ya f*ckin' tard. I said Medicine Hat is not a large city AND that you need to have a good mental health program in order for the program to truly succeed. Don't get all f*cking snarky with me because the Ontario Libtards don't give a sh*t about the mental health of adults.

I don't want to keep them out, I ask that they be filtered by more than just Equifax stats.

Awww lookit the f*ckwit flailing like a drowning dog. I'm curious, what "can't do attitude" are your strawmanning about now? Are you stupidly disagreeing that mental health care is, or should be, a VITAL part of the program? Tell me how you administer proper mental health care when the govt has gutted the sh*t out of it.

I'm all for the program, you half-witted troglodyte. But simply providing housing only solves part of the problem for many homeless people. Without proper supports in place you're just farting into the wind. Which also pretty much describes about 99% of your posts too.

Perhaps you should stop being so silly and just read up on the Medicine Hat experience. Sorry for embarrassing you as well

It's very difficult for me to see multi million dollar mega churches on every corner , and then consider people living in back alleys and eating whatever scraps they night find behind restaurants in a dumpster. Homelessness should be a church challenge, not so much government. Just my opinion.
