No, it is is not a white sled pulled by white huskies.

To put things in perspective, it is called the Loki after the shapeshifter Norse god. Loki is the father of the fierce wolf Fenrir who bit off the hand of the God Tiw after whom we have our Tuesday.
Gawd knows why we need one. Do you?

The God Loki can shape shift into a salmon. So, if you see a salmon skimming the arctic snows, don't fret, it's the Army.

Are you asking whether we need gawds, hands or electric snowmobiles?

Can't be much of a secret if CBC knows about it. Very important to be able to sneak up on those snowflakes. Hope they got a heated snowcat to retrieve all those dead snowmobiles whose batteries will probably die within sight of camp as soon as the weather turns cold.

Summer snowmobiles? Love it! Sure beats spending money on the Senate, but not by much!

Loki's son, Fenrir the vicious wolf, was tied up with ribbons made by dwarves out of bird spittle, fish breath, bear sensibilities, the sound of cats' feet, and Federal Government spending restraint. Seems a more sensible approach to tying up arctic invaders than electric summer snowmobiles.
Question : why debase native myths by associating them with the absurd?

PS
European and middle-eastern gods are on summer holiday; they need the activity to keep in shape.

Besides, these snowmobiles would be manned by Inuit and First-nation Rangers. These volunteers must take their tasks seriously. Would native gods been taken seriously?

I think the Rangers are a ruse. They are not standing on guard for Canada. They are a welcoming committee.

This whole thing is getting silly. About fifty years ago in Burns Lake, a guy put super big spiked tires on a Volkswagan bug. He then exchanged the front wheels for skiis. Once he locked the differential, it would go anywhere any snowmobile would go. Now what? Mount a machine gun on it and paint it white?

Would anybody hear it over the machine gun? After all it is the military...

Typical gov't wastage. I bet they'd save us a bundle if they bbronco bust a herd of polar bear and ride them. Bluddy lot quieter and a helluva lot more vicious looking than a dumb bug.

It's for hunters to sneak up on the polar bears, silly :)

C'mon guys, don't make fun now.

It's way beyond the time for the stealth toboggan, Zeus, to be replaced. People were getting splinters!
