Looks to me like the Libs changed the plan to appease the sky is falling crowd. Lots of people live in fear. It's unfortunate to bring things down to the lowest common denominator but that's what the left generally does.

It looks to me as if the idea to bring Syrians to Canada was hatched late August or early September by Harper after a lot of pressure by Canadians to do more. Trudeau's "plan" was almost instantaneous reaction. So it does seem as if Justine was shooting from the lip.

A sensible plan. Sort of surprised it came from the Lieberals but I will give them points for this one.
