OTTAWA—Conservative Leader Stephen Harper continued to deflect questions about his chief of staff, Ray Novak, and his role in the scandal around Mike Duffy’s expenses Monday morning.

Harper “refused the premise” of questions about Novak’s involvement with Nigel Wright and Duffy, but declined to say what exactly was wrong with the premise of the question.

If the mouse steals the bait and evades the trap, perhaps you should curse the mouse less and question your trap-building skills more.

These processes take time and accountability will always be a problem.

The good side about this whole mess is that it is instructive about what goes on in the PMO.

Particularly the culture of this PMO's brand, which is revealing the lies and deception that are not only fed to the public, but amongst themselves.

Wynne is why Canada is near recession.

If he (PoopsieFloss) were elected as an MP would he make it past the CSIS vetting process and be in Cabinet or end up a useless backbencher?

$90,000 in the Federal Gov't coffers is a non issue. The main A$$hole involved has been fired and is in court facing serious charges, the other A$$hole got relieved of his duties too. Put the f**king non issue to sleep, it's getting boring.

Negative- Wynne or anyone else in her capacity doesn't have the power to put a country into recession.

With ineffective management of finances and power, she is preventing any gains which would naturally become available with a low dollar. We should be laughing all the way to the bank with the dollar so low. We are not.

In reality, unless the federal govt does something silly (which they have not), they really don't have that much power either. This recession is being driven by Saudi Arabia and the price of oil. Question that needs asking is which party will best manage it and not make it worse.

Creating the circumstances that put economies into recession is pretty damn easy.

One person isn't going to do it, short of maybe blowing up the Pentagon, the Hoover Dam and a few other things. Even blowing up the W.T.C. didn't put a dent in it.

Driven by super low interest rates that crashed the dollar not Saudi Arabia.

We aren't in competition with Saudis when it comes to manufacturing are we but we sure are with the US who has been attacking our economy for several years to keep their dollar up.

High taxes, high energy costs, lack of infrastructure and high wages needed to pay high taxes and energy will kill any economy in a heartbeat.
