We are extending non-essential travel restrictions with the United States until November 21st, 2020. Our decisions will continue to be based on the best public health advice available to keep Canadians safe. More info:
https://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/covid/menu-eng.html

Nothing in the article about extending to Nov. 21, further no mention of the US agreeing to mutual agreement

The US does not have a choice in the matter. If Canada will not open it's borders to American citizens, they are out of luck. Kind of ironic considering the US is spending hundreds of billions trying to keep Mexicans out. I guess they have had a taste of their own medicine.

It does help Trudie's popularity in Southern Ontario to show he resists Trump

Just found out that even if you follow protocol you can still get Covid but following protocol will still reduce the "chance" that you'll get it.

In Germany, they're "spiking" again and apparently the virus has mutated. My g/f works in the health field and religiously followed protocol and still got infected, She never went anywhere - just to work and home. So it appears we still have a lot to learn about this vicious virus. The fact that it's mutated is also of great concern because if it has, then what good will the vaccine they're currently working on be?

Talk of a vaccine is just something being thrown out to people to make people feel good and that we're making an effort to do something....like mask protocols. There will not be an effective vaccine, there has never been an effective vaccine developed for a coronavirus...ever. There are effective treatments for people with elevated risk.

The sooner we embrace the fact this thing is with us for the long term and start objectively looking at the bigger picture, the sooner we can get our society and economy moving back to a somewhat functional level and the better off we'll be. Acceptance of basic facts will actually save lives in the long run.

But the Governments must look like they are in control .
