Snooker, you must realize how lucky you are to be in a country that lets you practise Christianity. Many countries you would not have that right, or would be persecuted for doing so.

We are a free country for all and it ain't going to change anytime soon so you may as well get used to it. I for one am glad we have the Charter of Rights it prevents the majority from discrimminating against the miniority. And whats wrong with that?

If you can't understand why God resides in their house and not another, I'm sure if you studied the issue you could learn something from it.

"God" resides in one house and not another, because the scriptures and clergy say that it's so...and for no other reason...

If we think of religion in terms of a municipal government, with each city councillor representing a different system of belief it will become clear how chaotic things can get. This is all supposing that these representatives had the free reign on policy that religion has enjoyed for millenia.

When the time comes to decide the meaning behind the sybology of a traffic light, each counsellor would put forth a diffent meaning based upon their interpretation. Therefore, one councillor may decide that the red light means stop, while another would say it means slow down, and yet another might decide it means rev your engine three times and proceed with caution...others would suggest that the green light means go, and another would say it means that you must put the car in neutral and push it through the intersection, and another may say gun the engine and hope for the best...and well the amber light is just pure evil...and all drivers would be given a Driver's Handbook commensurate with the beliefs of their City Council representatives and those rules would have to be strictly adhered to if one should hope to receive the blessings of the mayor...

This is how I see religion affecting our society...all religions claim that they are the only true religion...this fact alone creates the situation of the analogy I put forth above...a situation where believers from all religions are equally wrong...and this leads to stagnation, at best, or more likely chaos and violence...that religion has been around for millenia is a testament not to its inherent truth, but to its cyclical argument...religion's logic is seriously flawed, but there is no easy way out without abandoning one's faith...and so it continues until people are ready to shrug off the oppressive yolk of their faith in fictitious characters and be truly free to think for themselves...

I have met some Canjuns in person. They are proud of their heritage but unlike acadians in NB they are polite and show no sign of deeply rooted hatred for all English speaking individuals.

Gee, I can't imagine why they would dislike the English.

Something about a boat ride in 1755.

It wasn't the two-way luxury ride they had been promised.

......Just before little Pierre got on the boat he had horrible visions of alligators and really, really spicy food....

Hi… I should clear some stuff here … First off I don’t hate gay people or people in general unless I have reason to , Just being gay isn’t a good enough reason as to dislike someone … Though reason as to why I find gay people not to be normal is because the bible state that being gay is a sin and for this reason alone , also some of them are really out there, you know what I mean ?? We are all sinner , I include , This is to why if you believe in the god the father , god the son and the wholly spirit , ask for forgiveness in Jesus name for your sins you are cleans of your sins and you can then enter into the kingdom of heaven , Now once who ever ( gay people )makes it into heaven there will no longer be gay people or what not , that’s because gay people will no longer be gay , the truth will set them free , just like everyone else thats there will be free from sin , No more diseases , No more blind people , or cripple people , the list goes on , This is as to how gay people can enter heaven but again there wouldn’t be any gays in heaven … If you doubt this just read the bible and find out , its all there as to what it will be like in heaven with god…
