Religion as much as pot, is a way of life for many, many Canadians.

Yes just like being gay is  along the same lines as every american is bad.
Your right I do not like "organized religion" or its dogma. The fact that a "god" can only dwell in their house..speaks to how small he or she must be. Yep I am still here after saying that...didn't get struck down by a bolt of lightening.

Are you saying that everyone that has a drink is what??? are you saying that a person cannot use "pot" in a recreational way? Oh yes our eyes bug out and we run down the street screaming our heads off  Do you even know why "Pot" was banned in the first place. Strange but it was to do with rope and the dupont family and yes the same old reason....money!!!!!!

Hey! Jay

Any pot smoker would tell yuh that you only get a "buzz" when smoking a joint.
It's really the next day that you get "high" ..... when you brag to your friends about finding some super-pot the next day.

It's part of the charm.

Dear Peapod, either I've stumbled upon by accident a button you have that when pushed makes you insinuate things that are not true, or that the "needs a life" remark under your name on posts isn't just a bit of antidotal humour, but is a reality. I don't know but......

I'm not suggesting, by any stretch of the imagination, that:

1.) You will be struck by lightning for saying God is big or small.

2.) Your eyes bug out and you run down the street screaming your head off when you smoke pot.

3.) Having a drink means anything more then having a drink.

4.) You can't use pot as a recreational substance.

5.) That I'm not familiar with why pot was banned.

If you can't understand why God resides in their house and not another, I'm sure if you studied the issue you could learn something from it.

As for the pot, the reason I used it as a reference was because it’s actually illegal in Canada (if you didn't know) whereas religion is not. There is a forum for an illegal substance and not one for religion. See why one might use it as a reference to a perfectly good question?

For your information, I smoke at least two joints a weeknight (When possible) and weekends are a flurry of joints especially Friday night, that’s when I mix it with booze. Yes I drink too. I actually had to slow the drinking down as the summer...well lets just say Seagram’s did well by me.

I saw ppl discussing religion on this thread and thought to myself, why wouldn't there be a forum for it on this site. I looked and there didn't appear to be one. Plain and simple.

It’s probably best to not JUMP to conclusions.

As for organized religion...I suppose you would rather unorganized religion. That makes allot of sense. It’s like politics; do you believe in unorganized politics?

Your right I did jump to conclusions..Sorry I misread your thread.

Yes that is exactly what I would like no organized religion at all.!

I do not need organized religion to answer the the 3 questions in posed in gauguins famous painting. Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?

I do get over heated about religion, I hate it! I have seen more people lives destroyed by it, never mind what its done historically.

Jay, I think that without even meaning to you have instigated the proof as to why religion is not discussed on this forum.

Religious discussions never seem to stay "discussions" but turn into heated flame throwing, name calling, personal disparagements.

I appreciate the apology.

Sorry you feel the way you do about religion, and I'm sorry to hear it’s destroyed your friend’s lives.
