It is, Cap..........we stayed up till the wee hours - it was a beautiful night. Other neighbors dropped by and we were treated to a fireworks display that had us ooohing and aahhhing. A birthday party to remember.

No, but we all drank for free when they figured out that we weren't Americans. There was a big U.S. Naval Air station at Argentina, NFLD. that operated from mid WW II until the mid-1990's. They did not manage to make friends with he locals over a half century, there and they left a bitter taste with the Newfoundlanders. It may continue to this day. I imagine that they saw themselves as occupiers rather than allies. Suffice to say that the US military is widely despised, there.

p.s.The Yanks issued themselves an Arctic Service medal for being stationed in Argentina. What a fecking joke.

That's Argentia. My idiotic spell check, written by some zitty 18 year old in Seattle, insists that it has to be Agentina and not Argentia (It just did it, again)
