Canada coronavirus death toll is 9,608

Coronavirus COVID-19 cases are surging in certain parts of Canada. Restrictions are now returning.

Canada now has total Coronavirus cases of 180K. 151K cases have recovered. There have been 9,608 deaths.

New modelling shows that by next week, Canada could hit 198K COVID-19 cases.

Worldwide, the total Coronavirus cases are 37.1M. 25.8M cases have recovered. There have been 1.07M deaths.

As Canada enters the first Thanksgiving long weekend with the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic, the important message is that everyone should stay home and have fewer people around them in their personal circle.

The important message is that the virus came from China and Sweden got it right.

how hard is it to not go out or attend big parties?

if you are 15 I can see where it would be an issue.

Well being that some lowlife went and demanded an election it is harder than you might think. Even working in Construction there is often more than 15 people in a relatively small area and they might come from all over the country.

BTW Sweden has more than half as many deaths as Canada and less than a third of the population.

If we went the same way Sweden did we would have 20,000 deaths by now?

The big concern is that a significant percentage of people who get COVID suffer long term effects, which renders them unable to do many activities they did with ease prior to becoming infected with COVID.
Post thrombitic syndrome?

Technically, virologists believe COVID fatality rate to be slightly under 1.0% for those who contract it, which is nearly 10 times deadlier than the seasonal flu. The big concern is that a significant percentage of people who get COVID suffer long term effects, which renders them unable to do many activities they did with ease prior to becoming infected with COVID.

It's believed to be 30% of COVID sufferers will have long term negative health outcomes.

You best head for the hills , it is waiting right around the corner . If you don’t it might get you .

Our economy is bouncing back. Some sectors will be hit worse than others. Tourism, entertainment, sporting events, restaurant and hospitality, etc. will be effected disproportionately. However, thanks to virologists, and medical professionals learning more and more about COVID with the progression of time, the fatality rate/case has dropped. This is mainly due the demographic shift, as the majority of young people are the ones that are infected.
Improved methods of treatment are also responsible for a drop in the number of fatalities. In spite of this, the number of infections Worldwide is estimated at 350,000 cases daily, and rising. The fatality rate remains stable at roughly 6,000 deaths per day. At some point, we will have to place more emphasis on preventing the economy from collapsing, but so far, we have weathered the storm.
Vancouver is predicting 25% of businesses are going to fail because of the lockdown. I would say it is already too late to save the economy.
