First of all I do not consider them canadians as canadian is what my culture is and they have nothing in common with my culture or western society for that matter. I do have some respect that they believe in a God as do I. I do not believe one can live in TWO cultures that oppose each other and be happy. I know some moslems leave canada because their kids will not live under the islamic ideals that their parents do. After waking up today and seeing what happened in russia I am losing all respect for their religion. I really do not believe it is a religion, I think it is a CULT and they are brainwashed to believe what they hear. I also know people from the middle east living in canada because they would be killed in they expressed their views against Islam in their own country and many have lost family members. Islam is in the 15th century, they have to assimulate and realize that in canada wo men have more rights than MEN do.............

I am white, catholic and 16th generation, in case anyone wondered. Were it not for christians canada would not be the welcoming and open-minded country it is today- because the parliment and rule of law and whole concept of canada is based on christian principals...........thanks to my ancestors that you can live here.

When Europeans landed in North American a few hundred years ago there were peoples here that welcomed them. They didn't have a parliament and rule of law and didn't have Christianity. There were difficulties, but for the most part North America was stable. Oooops that changed a few hundred years ago with the introduction of massive greed for land and other resources, the introduction of diseases, etc.
It has been said that we are not fighting wars against countries, but we are fighting religious wars. This is very dangerous. Where would it stop? Racial and religious hatred can flare up like a mighty beast and kill all of us. It can begin with neighbors spreads to work places, and in the streets. I have seen too much of this in my lifetime. As a child, a protestant, english speaking, the hatred and bigotry shoun to catholic french, italian, etc. was terrible. And we are beginning to do the same thing in Canada again. This time is the Muslims.

I know Christians who aren't into anything other than missionary position and I can think of 1 atheist who is likely not into sex, even. At least not any form that isn't in front of a mirror.

Beliefs are important but they are subjective so we cannot use them to prove us if we try to talk to everybody in general.

Yes, most Muslims are good Canadians. They have their share of radicals, as do we Christians. I know of a few Muslims and they made excellent co-workers, and I have a few who are neighbors. They are active in the community, and so far have been good neighbors.
