But is it art?

I think the real fat's between his ears.

He should have that sucked out too ... this guy is making me think he's just one great big zit ready to gush slime out of his body. The fact that he thinks people should eat it is really sick. And wasting red paint on snow is stupid. Blending fish is stupid. He obviously likes to sit around and think about how he can be really offensive ... but it's not art.

What a wierdo, he is an artist though... I'm not very impressed with his fish killing either.

Can I assume you don't eat fresh lobster? How about go fishing and have shore lunch?

I think the fish in blender show would be marginally acceptable. Gets the point across about being omnivorous.

Luckily I am on a low fat no salt added diet so I could pass on his meatballs for health reasons. Would save me from puking at table. I suppose he is making a point about the wastefulness and pointlessness of such surgery as lyposuction. At least he put it to some use.

I don't like lobster actually. Reminds me of an underwater grasshopper. I do eat fish though. Don't get me wrong, I understand that eating animals is a natural thing. However, I don't like needless suffering. I've seen many animals die in the process before they end up on my plate, many people I'm sure would convert to vegan/vegetarianism if they saw how our food is treated. Ever seen 20,000 pounds of fish brought up in a bottom trawler? Not the prettiest sight.

But if you weren’t on a diet, would you eat those meatballs made of somebody’s belly fat?

Killing the fish for consuming is not the same as killing the fish just for entertainment (and money). The guy is neither sick nor extravagant, and he is not making any reasonable point by offering those meatballs or blending the fish, - he’s merely making money as well as he can.

I would call it art. Is it an art form I like? NO it is not. His guests would be lucky if the fat came from his belly. Not that it being ass fat would make a big difference. I bet he sells out.

yeah, but art is so many different things to different people. i know a guy that paints really neat designs on pieces of wood. theyre not pictures of antyhing, just kind od freeform drawings and some people say theyre not art but they look nice.

That may very well be true. I personally am a tiny bit familiar with avant-garde style of work, some I even like. But I would hardly think body fat in meatballs, or painting snow different colours, is exactly something that qualifies as "art".

Just trying to be gross and get attention, and as you said, after the money. Some people will do anything to draw attention to themselves. I would gather he's not a very good artist if his chief business in the field is to pull stunts like these for publicity.

My question would be, did he eat these meatballs himself?
