If a woman wearing a burka wants to buy booze all should have to show is her thumb. Same goes for you or me.

This is the dumbest thing I've read read. What arrogant moron thinks he can tell what a person can or can't do based on their religious beliefs. Many Muslims consume alcohol, and they're fully aware of what is and isn't forbidden much more than a non-muslim, and certainly doesn't need what telling them what they can or cannot do. You solution is literally to forbid all Muslims alcohol, lol what the hell. You're an absolute jackass

How about all the "christian" government agents that refused to marry gay couples?

To me this just goes to show that the proper take on age limits for alcohol should be:

"If you are old enough to be out on your own, you are old enough to purchase alcohol."

Where are the people complaining about the nanny state when you need them?

yeah. The thing about booze in North Am is a bit silly. Neither of our kids abuse booze and yet they've both been sippin at it since they were about 4 years old. Which is 180 degs. from a lot of kids, who seem to sneak in some before the age of majority and then really get into it after.

LOL. Ya, leave it to the right wing fundies to use subterfuge and deception to show how the government is not controlling us properly.
What a focking joke!
Look for Fox news to use the same deceitful methods in the USofA.

I don't think that was the point of the exercise eh1.

Then why.
If you want to make a point you only need to create the story. Total BS.
When they catch 'real' kids in burkhas then there will be a story.
They are supposed to be news reporters not news fabricators.
I have little respect for the media in general but when someone stoops to setting a trap to get a story only to discredit a political party...
Scum just like their 'Merican brethren faux.

From the second link:

The stunt was co-ordinated and video recorded by Sun News Network host David Menzies, who has made a career out of lambasting Canada’s politically correct institutions.

Menzies said the unopened bottles — totalling just over $80 — were promptly taken from the teen at the day’s end but suggested the fact the boy was never asked to uncover his face or show photo identification at multiple store locations reveals a deeply ingrained reluctance on the part of
Canadian institutions to challenge cultural practices, even when they conflict with broader societal goals such as preventing underage drinking.

Good thing you didn't put a ? after "Then why". Since you obviously have no need of an answer.

Not only a reasonable exercise, but one journalists have been doing for a very long time.
