Cuba is dominating the Spanish-speaking countries, more proof that socialism is correct.

Winning isn't embarrassing. The US are simply better than the Brits.

28 > 19

86 > 50 (Did the Brits even show up for half of the events?)

2016 Rio Olympics Medal Standings | NBC Olympics

60% of America's golds are in swimming. If there was no swimming at these Games, America would be nowhere.

Meanwhile, Britain has won medals in more disciplines (16) than any other nation. Britain has won golds in 11 disciplines, whereas America has won golds in just eight and China - which is still below Britain in the medals table - just seven.

NO- if there was no swimming they'd obviously be preparing for other events. Sometimes I think you Blighters are just plain thick.

How'd you know that? They haven't prepared themselves for those events now - to give them even more medals - so what makes you think they would have done so had there been no swimming?

The Americans have been relying too much on their swimmers to get medals and are not winning in a broad range of sports like the mighty British are.

Well, I've posted all the stats, are they are rather impress for the British, not so much for the Americans.

Because, obviously if they weren't tying up valuable times practicing their swimming they'd be practicing something else. I can draw you a picture.

W.T.F. is there to disagree with that, Walter?

People have always said that the Brits are so used to losing that they think by merely showing up is a victory.

Sadly it is not so.

You've got no way of knowing that.

And it still doesn't take away from the fact that 60% of America's golds have come in the pool.

Even cycling, a sport Britain has dominated at, has only constituted 30% of Britain's golds.

No, but it doesn't take a f**king rocket scientist to figure it out..................physically active motivated people aren't going to sit on their a$$ and watch the world go by.

You've got no way of knowing that had there been no swimming at these Olympics the Yanks would have just won gold in other sports instead. No way of knowing at all.

If Americans weren't doped up who knows how many medals they'd have.

A lot less than they have right now to be sure.
