And there are lots of golds up for grabs for Britain today in sports in which we are traditionally very strong at, such as the rowing.
Behind the US of course.

The US has a larger population than Britain and has, by far, the largest team at Rio, so has more athletes competing in the events than any other country.
They are also superior to British athletes...
I can see how proper dental work and white teeth would be disturbing to the average Briddish citizen.
Yank dental work is far superior to Briddish dental work, just like our athletes are far superior than Brit athletes. Brits just aren't very good at the Olympics or brushing and flossing.
It isn't superior. It looks unnatural - which, of course, it is - and ridiculous. Americans are ridiculously obsessed with their teeth. Some of these Yank athletes with their brilliant white screw-in teeth just look daft.
I heard the Canadian girls whooped the British gals in the bronze match.

till death do they part ....
Disgusting.
Anyway, back to the sport. Britain won two silver medals in the swimming pool last night and have now exceeded the British Olympic Association's target for swimming medals.
The British team now has more medals than it had at this stage of the London 2012 Olympics, which eventually saw the team win a whole deluge of medals towards the end of the first week and throughout the second week (I remember what we call Super Saturday in the athletics when Farah, Ennis and Rutherford won golds). Britain eventually finished third in the medals table with 29 golds, 17 silvers and 19 bronzes. So it looks as though this is going to be another hugely successful Olympics for the Great Britain team.
