I have always thought it interesting in that so far as most Japanese are concerned they only know one thing about World War II and that is that Japan was the recipient of the only two nuclear weapons ever used in warfare while ignoring the millions of people murdered by Japanese aggression. It is a common trick used by many nations, but the Japanese seem to be an extreme case, in that they completely ignore the culpability of their own nation, while focusing strongly on the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
