The two men who claim to have found Bigfoot have admitted to filming a hoax video with a fake scientist, but they still claim they have a real Bigfoot corpse in the freezer and will reveal all at a press conference.
News that the legendary ape-like creature has been found has also kicked off a frenzied online response, with the story covered in newspapers around the world and generating so much interest on blogs and websites devoted to Bigfoot that some have crashed.
Two US hunters, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, last month said they had discovered the body of Bigfoot in a forest in northern Georgia, a south-east US state.

Deep down,my hopes are that this isn't just another fake. I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHY,WITH ALL THE SIGHTINGS OF BIGFOOT, WHY A BODY OF ONE HAD NEVER SURFACED. I* expect this to be similar to the alien autopsy of years back and all the ridicule it raised.

missile, I was thinking the same thing. I would like there to be a Sasquatch....Or a Bigfoot. It would be really interesting to discover how they have avoided man all these years. All the sightings but never a capture in at least a couple centuries. That, at least suggests a special intelligence or talent. Every native tribe in North America has a name for them. I think this is just another hoax, but I am rooting for that body to be real.

The two men who claim they've bagged Bigfoot would not reveal the location of the hairy corpse, adding further fuel to skeptics who claim the report is a hoax.
Georgia residents Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer said at a news conference Friday in Palo Alto, Calif., that they no longer know the location of the body, having put it in the care of sasquatch seeker Tom Biscardi, who runs the Searching for Bigfoot, Inc. website.
The two men tried to make their case in front of a skeptical audience as they told a story of stumbling across the corpse in the woods of northern Georgia.
Whitton revealed they had not only found a body, but had also seen several other creatures running in the woods. When asked what the creatures sounded like, Whitten, an officer on medical leave from the Clayton County Police Department, said they did not make a noise.
"They were silent," he said.
Whitton and Dyer have so far offered three different tales so far about how they came to find the creature: In one, the animal was shot by a former felon, and the men followed it into the woods. In a second version, they found a "family of Bigfoot" in North Georgia mountains. In the third, the two were hiking and stumbled upon the corpse with open wounds.
Biscardi vowed that DNA evidence would vindicate the men. But he later said that one of the three samples sent for examination came back as human DNA, another was inconclusive, and a third came back as the DNA of a possum, which he said could have been from something the Bigfoot ate.
Even before the three men took the stage, skeptics who had seen the photographs of what looks like a furry creature in a freezer were not impressed.
"What I've seen so far is not compelling in the least, and I think the pictures cast grave doubts on their claim," Jeffrey Meldrum, a Bigfoot researcher and Idaho State University professor, told the Scientific American.
"It just looks like a costume with some fake guts thrown on top for effect."

The story shot around the world ,i picked it up in the morning 1-2 o'clock(August 13th, 2008, 03:27 AM) ,and by 11 the site was down due to so many hits..lol..just shows you the press make there money too each time they bring out this story ,so they print it ,then there's other ways to make money merchandise and stuff, i bet lots of people made a few more sixpennys from this, like we do on our Lock ness monster .B/S..;-)
