That wasn't mudslinging, it was vicious character assassination. It is not the kind of thing that politicians can say and stil look statesmanlike. It also reaffirmed the sexism inherent in the Reform/Alliance/Conservatives.

I doubt it is sexism....that word is a loose word (no pun intended) and applies to anyone who does anything for money/power.

I see with Miss Stronach jumping ship, Mr Harper, who sides with the BLOC (who want to break up Canada), has now said that he will support the Liberal budget but not the changes made with the NDP. Now is this the person we want as our next Prime Minister???.....and they call Mr Martin "MR DITHERS" Mr Harper just can't seem to make up his mind

I'm not convinced that Harper has a mind anymore. That's yet another flip-flop. More than that, it's untruthful at its very base. If the government falls, the budget falls. All of it. No Atlantic Accord, no nothing. It doesn't matter if C-43 passes and C-48 fails, if either fail the government falls.

I'm soory Stronach is as corupt as they come I'm no big fan of Harper .But what she did was a stab in the back a complete sucker punch and goes straight to her character.Zero integrity there.Just goes to show you how corrupt our goverment is .The whole lot of them have to go .But it will never happen and I know its only going to get worse :x These liars will find more ways to steal our tax money :evil:

That can be read either way. She obviously held different views than Harper on a lot of things, so it could be argued that her ethics no longer allowed her to remain in the Conservative party.
She certainly isn't the first politician to cross the floor, not even the first senior politician. She won't be the last either.
My feeling is that it likely had more to do with her chances of getting elected again than anything else, but the Liberal party is a better fit for her in many ways.

Just another example of a corrupt unethical liberal party trying to buy themselves out of trouble. First they spend billions now they are buying MP's with high gov't postings

True. But that depends whether or not she uses those secrets to the Libs advantage. If she can keep her mouth shut and play the game fair during the election, then she's keeping her word...But already I've used many words politicians find hard using all in one sentance. I'm not keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
If that's the case no party would end up being voted in.

It will likely be one or two of the backbenchers, if it's anybody. It could also be Loyola Hearn, although that's a long shot. You can bet that would be a major coup though. It would be a death blow to the CPC.
