Took a few days off & headed over to Bamfield BC on Vancouver Island's west coast for the annual Tuna Shootout.

Left my car in Port Alberni and took the Frances Barkley out to Bamfield (aka Bamtown).

The seemingly ubiquitous Chermans they love WCVI

Typical action all day-Tuna blood galore.

Hey are those tuna from a land locked fish farm?
The MV Rose is a great way to see the canal but I prefer to just drive the logging road to get there.

You'd be surprised how little is known about those drive by raiders-doing an annual anti clockwise circumnavigation of the North Pacific-gorging themselves silly in Canadian waters and moving on before most even know they've arrived.
