Let me help Gerry out.
Dead cats have no souls.

Why are you bowing out? and why "wow'? Is it because I didn't understand something you meant in your post?

Riddle me this one.
Say you each believe in a Creator- heaven and such.
Do you think the Creator would leave behind what people love?
Leave behind what he has created?

Rather simple questions.

I love how you put that. Would the creator leave behind what people love? Beautiful.

If I believed...I would think no, the Creator wouldn't leave behind an animal whether loved by man or not. I would think a creation made would also be loved by that which created it. 2 legged or 4 legged. Skin, fur, feathers, or scales.

Your turn to answer, G

Weirdly enough dead humans have no souls either. Whether you're religious or athiest.

If life flows continuously for us, it would for every other lifeform here and throughout the universe.

The Big G don't pull no favourites!

That is one awful lot of logic for a religious thread. I bet it won't play well with the non atheists because they think 'why' is an intelligent response to a serious statement.. ;)

I have and do watch it, just don't understand the reason that "non-atheists" "should" watch it.

You use the better part of your brain so you might not see that there are too many religious people that wish to deprive society of their free will. Right now they are gunning for the atheists because they beleive in something that undermines the religious doctrines. Which religion you ask, all of them. Next they will be gunning for you. The people of faith that grasp reality. Cosmos is a stab at the most zealot of the bunch. It is a threat to religion because it cites scientific facts. Just the opposite of what the most devote want to teach in school.

Really, that's strange and not at all like I see things. Considering the largest Christian Church is the Catholic Church and they have stated that the current scientific "teachings" on the beginnings of the Universe and mankind do not go against Christian teachings I don't understand what you are getting at. Unless you are talking about the minority.

They like... or need... to paint us all as Bible literalist. It's easier for them.

No, you referenced ALL religions. No real disclaimer whatsoever, just ALL. I just pointed out the falsehood in your statement when it comes to the LARGEST Christian denomination in the world. Therefore your all inclusive "ALL" is crap.

Being clear would prevent people misinterpreting and getting "pissy".
