Atheist Church of theevolving Human God.

Atheist friends, should youelect a God and sacrifice to him or her?

By doing so, you would beacknowledging that mankind is the greatest force in the universe bysymbolically taking the name of Human God and insuring that there is always a churchthat preaches the truth of what is known as a certainty of the supernatural God.That he probably does not exist and is a man-made mythical ideal perpetuated bythe Noble Lie.

If you believe what theresearch indicates in terms of hive behavior, then you might wonder as I do ifit would not be in the best interest of the atheist movement to elect anatheist God and sacrifice to him or her?

This, if the research istrue, would insure the longevity and cohesion of the atheist movement and giveit power.

You may have some suggestionfor the title that you would put on your leader and church. I do not except formy choice in the title above. Not being a full atheist, I would not have a voteon it; even as I support atheists and non-supernatural spirituality in peopleover supernatural religious notions and beliefs. I would also suggest a mantrafor this church; that being, --- Faith without Facts is for Fools.

I believe in a strongly assertivetype of atheism that preaches that truth is the highest principle. Thispreaching should be done with eloquence and good form and language; recognizingthe trap of logical fallacies and the impossibility of atheists proving thatthere is no creator God; as well as the impossibility of believers to provethat there is a creator God.

Unfortunately I cannot callmyself an atheist anymore because of having suffered an apotheosis. As anesoteric ecumenist and Gnostic Christian, you will know that I think thatcreating an atheist church should be the next evolutionary step for the atheistmovement. I believe the research shown above to be true and fear that without achurch, atheism will not be affective and perhaps die out without it.

Creating an atheist church wouldbe the ideal for both religionists and atheists. It would insure that atheistsare always here to correct the imaginary thinking of those who believe in amythical supernatural God. This would be a benevolent and altruistic expressionof atheist’s social conscience and desire to bring all people to sane thinking. This atheist church would recognize the human attribute shown in the followingclip and gently try to help those adults whose thinking is hampered by it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm971ltF44A&feature=related

Atheists seem to already wantto do more for society towards this end as they seem to be over-represented inreligious forums even as statistics say that the atheist in the U. S. andCanada are only at about 5% of the population. This is a sacrifice for atheiststhat already adds some cohesion and longevity to the organization and appeases thehive nature that we seem to have. But I do not think it is enough based on theresearch shown above.

Should atheist electthemselves a Pope or God or someone with some other title and do whateversacrifice is demanded of them to keep the movement alive for the long run?

Don't need no church. The only one in control of my destiny is me and my body is my temple.

Rather like a Gnostic Christian that. Nice.
I try to talk Christians into that mind-set but they are scapegoaters and will just not step up. They end up thinking that it is good to punish the innocent instead of the guilty. Rather insane that. No wonder most prefer secular law and would not dream of following God's laws.

The thing is though that if your type of guy and your group die out in the time frame shown, you leave your children and grandchildren at the merci of a stonger right wing. You want them to be able to do as they please with them?

You don't try to talk Christians into any mindset. You tell them they're wrong, stupid, and immoral. Trying to talk someone out of their beliefs is not the same as trying to talk them into yours.

If your intent is to explain your views, try doing it without talking about anyone's views except your own. Anything else is not 'talking to' them.

Hey French,

Not to change the subject on ya but what do you think of ultra right wing Glenn Beck saying that "God súcks" ?

It's a shame Republicans remained silent on this statement. Not saying it reflects the beliefs of any other Republican but their silence in this is quite startling.

I have one son and two grand kids. Oddly enough my son and his wife take their kids to church even though neither his mother no I ever stepped foot in a church except for the odd wedding. Not sure how he could have turned out so wrong.I blame his wife.

Seems quite tame when speaking of a genocide God who even had his son needlessly murdered.

You make my point. Evil grew because good people did nothing to offer an alternative group. Hive instinct is strong and rewarding even if they do have to shut down their thinking ability when the hive is a religion. That is why atheists have to fight a hive with a hive of their own.

yes, that is exactly what he is trying to do, as some others also do. It is obvious that many religious
folk can't stand the idea that an atheist has 'no' god, no 'church', no 'religious books', but for some
reason, many of them insist we do, and insist that somehow a god must be attached to our non belief, but
their isn't.
They are so annoyed that they haven't succeeded in pulling us into their web.

Enjoy your religion,(whomever is,) and I will enjoy my freedom from it.

You can't correct people's foolishness and immorality unless they first agree that they're foolish and immoral. That's a pretty hard sell when what you consider foolish and immoral is their religious beliefs, especially when you open the conversation from such a condemnatory and aggressively judgmental position. Besides, I don't think you can label beliefs as moral or immoral, only actions can be judged that way. Can't condemn people for what they think about, only for what they do, or we'd all be in jail.

You'll never get atheists to join a hive either.

It doesn't bother me one bit. I just hope you have as much faith that there is no God as I do that there is a God.

Best wishes in your adventures in life.

P.S. I use tanglefoot instead of a web because I can't shoot silk out my ***.

I'd say he's exploring more than selling.

I don't have faith at all that there is no god, I don't believe in god, so I don't have
to live my life with faith and hope that I am right, I don't think about it, I don't wonder,
that is for agnostics.

Do you have faith there is no God or do you know 100% without any question?
