No, I was born in Quebec and have spent all my life here. However I am Canadian first and Quebecer second.

This perception of not being part of Canada is a game of misinformation taught that the English stole Quebec France. When in reality it was on the 10th. Feb. 1763 France gave la Nouvelle-France to Great Britain, it was never stolen. Also Nouvelle-France went all the way down to the Mississippi. It was George III who gave us the name of Province of Quebec.

You forgot the English/French part. So we'd have English/French-Anglais/Francais. lol
My dear mother, who is gone now had a bitch of a time reading the instructions, cautions, etc. for her meds simply because the print was half in English and moitie en Francais ... too small to read even with a magnifying glass.

Because Canada pledges allegiance to the English monarchy, I don't blame you for feeling no more than 50% Canadian. I believe Canada will be stronger as a nation if we put the sovereignty issue behind us and just let Quebec leave. Uncertainty about the issue forever hanging over our heads makes our nation look weak. Let them go!

I think we're more in a unifying process right now in Quebec. If that is the case, don't worry we'll support you in this queen-boot-licking nonsense

It's always the same question: is Quebec a different culture than the rest of Canada or is it the same? The Canada PM is always talking about a "united Canada", and I see a reference to Quebec here. But is he really honest with us, or with himself at all? I don't think so.

In Italy, there is more variance in culture from Milan to Naples than any gradient you can find in Canada. Language isn't culture, language is the gateway to culture, to reading, to speaking, to eating with others. I even knew a Mexican that could translate puns from Spanish into English. I could go on and on about culture in this respect, Quebec is part of Canada. Feel proud of that, Canada wants Quebec more than the French do, they don't even think you speak French.

The problem in Quebec is that some politicians found a cash cow, and they started to milk it. That cow is getting pretty sickly these days, and it was eating grass from other provinces lawns. I'm one to speak... I come from Nova Scotia, our cow's also grazing out in Alberta somewhere.

I'll tell you what I'd like to see here in the province of Quebec for the upcoming election: I'd like to see an english-only speaking party forming with the main goals to promote federalism and gradually incorporate English into the Quebec parliement, therefore being the equal rival of the "Parti Québécois". If they win, then those who only swear allegiance to their French ancestors would only have to move back to France where they just elected a wonderful left-wing government. If PQ wins, then they would make a third and last referendum on the sovereignty issue, and assume the fact that if we say "no" 3 times, it means "no" forever. Only then, I think, Quebec would be "on the map",

Sort of reminds me of how I had hoped the Bloc Quebecois would give up its separatist bent and transmute to a national party, Bloc Canada, to champion the rights of french speaking people throughout Canada. Not to mention the added bonus of possibly splitting the Liberal vote. heh heh

Yes, I would agree with this.
In fact I would even go one step further, I think it's time we asked them to leave.
They have caused us a great deal of money (AB especially) , money that many of us could have also used for our own benefit.

There is nothing to indicate that they will not cost us any more money in the foreseeable future. Soon they will be asking for much more. I work hard for my money, I want to enjoy what I earn, I am tired of giving it Quebec who don't really appreciate what they get from me to start with.
Enough is enough!!

Why not? It's better than spamming the sovereignty issue in Ottawa, the federal capital city.
