You may not have to at all if the figures are obvious and the media can appropriately inform the public.

You really do back pedal quite a bit. With the amount I have seen you doing lately, it's a wonder you can make any forward progress at all.

But he knows to open the windows in the car when he's blazing up while driving. Albeit ignorant, it does show some forward thinking.

Nah. No one can be expected to have all the answers right away.

I may come up with a rationalization on the fly that works, but that's not backpeddling. I acknowledged your comment, considered alternatives and found that there were viable ones in the current system.

No, but most intelligent people try to do a little research before shooting their mouth off.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

I acknowledged your comment, considered alternatives and found that there were viable ones in the current system.

In other words, you shot off your mouth without knowing what you were talking about.

Not really. I considered the main intent of your original comment, but then you moved the discussion to somewhere else and I responded to the symptomatic concern stemming from the main discussion.

Also, I wouldn't expect people to know everything about everything anyway.

True, which is why you like to make them up as you go along.

We all do that to some extent. You're corrected, you learn, change and then things become easier the next time around.

It's how I've adapted to your personality.

You've made it an art form.

You're corrected, you learn, change and then things become easier the next time around.
And yet here you are, still an ideologue, still spinning, still looking silly.

It's how I've adapted to your personality.
You adapted to my personality by exposing your true colours and making it easier for me to make fun of your being an ideologue, a hypocrite, a spin doctor, an NDP shill?

How wise of you.

This is where you would blame critics and undue pressure. If he was an NDP type Mayor.

Nope.

Like with your other allegation, I would at least look at what the critics were saying and try to make an informed decision from there.

Your projection is really failing you today.

All available material, dictates otherwise.

Your daily intake of the Star and the Globe completely negates the ability to do so.

Your projection is really failing you today.
Clearly you need to look up projection while you educate yourself to what irony means.

I've been watching the Ford fiasco in Toronto from a distance without comment. After all, he is not mayor of my city. But it seems to me that the problem Torontonians are having with their mayor is that they voted for an poorly educated right wing idiot and now he is acting the part.

What problem is that? He's quite popular as far as politicians go. It's council and the media that seem to have a problem with him....which is what makes him popular. :)

The root problem is he and the Star have been bitch-slapping one another for a long time. They're both at fault.

The result I see is The Star behaving like a British tabloid, their nose out of joint, all mad at Rob Ford.

The reporters' story doesn't wash because he most likely was found-out doing something he knew was questionable. There is no reason an accredited journalist drops his equipment and runs away like a loon.

There are photos on his Blackberry (that the police currently have) that will show what he shot and where he was.

Rob's rant about not speaking to a scrum now that includes any Star reporter is plain stupid.

But in the end, the tabloidish behavior of this so-called newspaper is becoming a bigger joke than the Mayor.

In the end, Ford is going to blackout the media if this reporter shows up to the next scrum and that should seal the deal for the next election.

New details:

A phone call was made from Toronto Star reporter Daniel Dale’s cellphone on Wednesday night at 8:37 p.m. — about 45 minutes after he surrendered his BlackBerry to Rob Ford in a heated confrontation behind the mayor’s home.

The Star has obtained phone records showing that a phone call was made from Dale’s BlackBerry to Robert Andreacchi, executive assistant to councilor Maria Augimeri, well after Dale left his cellphone with Ford.

During their interview with Dale Thursday, police also said his phone had multiple bars of battery life when they obtained it from Ford. Dale said his cellphone was completely dead when he gave it to the mayor.
Cellphone abandoned in confrontation with Mayor Rob Ford used 45 minutes later
