Paler, more tasteless, weaker, more insipid, etc.
Thank you...

I have no idea what his context was. It made no sense. (As if much of anything else he says makes sense .... lol)
If he used that word to describe him and the rest of the professed Liberals around here, he would be spot on...;-)

"No, and even it was, it was actually a wise move. Containing corpses is prudent."

Is that why after the bags were delivered to the reserves and the news hit the street they quickly went on damage control, by apologising?:p
Newsmedia blew it out of proportion so something had to be said. Politicians are overly sensitive to newsmedia.

By the way, Avro. I'm guessing you're a man if you have that Avatar. But I hate to make assumptions. So, are you a man or a woman?

Anna, this is why, though I find myself in contrary to a fair part of your ideology, you always win my heart.

You use critical thought. You gotta love good old critical thought.

8O I think you're being unnecessarily magnanimous to her. She insulted some of our university kids, you know. lol

oooh, I disagree. I'd hardly call partisans like we have around here bland. Nothing bland could be so intensely funny at times, except Buster Keaton's or Johnathan Winter's face.

8O He's a guy and he's pretty cute, IMO. :)
Um, I think the girl's pretty hot, too. Is there something wrong with her?

Oh I did not know that, and during the 2004 campaign Harper is on record telling Canadians we will be transparent and we will clean Ottawa from the mess. First thing they do when they get in office shut the media out, shortly after shut parliament out like a bunch of pansies.
PS trust me what I know of Canadian politics is good enough to guide me from wasting my vote on losers.

I thought he was a guy to have an Avatar like that. So you've met Avro, have you?

As for the girl, the problem with her is that she's distracting.

Yep, they failed miserably.

First thing they do when they get in office shut the media out, shortly after shut parliament out like a bunch of pansies.
How exactly did they shut out Parliament?
PS trust me what I know of Canadian politics is good enough to guide me from wasting my vote on losers.

That is not supported by what you've posted here.

So I FIFY...

PS trust me what I know of Canadian politics is shockingly little.

CBC News - Ottawa - Coulter tells Muslim student to 'take a camel'

American right-wing antagonist Ann Coulter was in fine form as she spoke to about 800 people at the University of Western Ontario in London Monday night.
Coulter drew applause when she attacked the health-care overhaul bill U.S. President Barack Obama will sign into law Tuesday.
But the regular Fox News commentator drew outrage from some, including a 17-year-old Muslim student who asked her a question about her views on Muslims.
Coulter has said all terrorists are Muslims and has suggested all Muslims be banned from airlines and use flying carpets.
When the student said she didn't have flying carpet, Coulter told her to "take a camel."

Turns out the poor, little 17 year old muslim girl is a Jew hater, too.

keep it up it looks good on u
So you can't answer the question?

That says more about you then me Soc Puppet.

It's quite amazing, the various causes etc people will support on Facebook, and then wonder why they don't get hired for that job or cases like this where they are exposed as being a bigot them selves.
Actually, I'm going to reserve judgment at the moment. I'm reading through that group now. And I can't find anything quite "Hate" filled about it. A lot of rhetoric, a lot of myths and misconceptions, but so far no hate.

I guess if one wants to use it to show a predisposed bias, it would be applicable.

How does someone preferring their homeland to be called what it used to be called instead of what it is called now, a jew hater?
Try another spin, Walter, this one failed miserably.

Besides, even if she did hate Jews, it is not a good reason for Coulter to make stupid bigoted remarks. 2 wrongs are just 2 wrongs, not a right.

I think Curiosity nailed this one: what does it say about our society when instead of combating falsehoods, hate-filled rhetoric and unfounded allegations with logic, reason and fact, we respond with hysteria and threats? What does it say about our institutions of higher learning that one fostered such a response?

Personally I don't think Anne Coulter's message is worth hearing, from what I have seen of her on TV and read in interviews with her. I do think she is guilty of spreading a lot of misinformation, but I think the famous misquote of Voltaire fits here: "I disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

And comparing her to Galloway is invalid. He broke Canadian (and presumably British and other countries) law in a very public and flambouyant manner, which means he was ineligible to enter the country. Ms Coulter has not yet broken our laws and rendered herself in the same category (perhaps she's not far away from it, given how close she treads to the line on hate-speech laws but she hasn't been accused or convicted of such yet).

This situation is an embarassment to the entire nation but even moreso to the University of Western Ontario.
