ANOTHER Tesla in autopilot mode crashes... into a parked police cruiser.

Why is this being tested on public roads?

A Tesla sedan set to autopilot mode crashed into a parked Laguna Beach Police Department vehicle in Laguna Beach, Calif., authorities said.

The driver of the Tesla sustained minor injuries after the Tuesday morning crash, according to public information officer Sgt. Jim Cota. The police officer was not in the SUV at the time of the crash.

Sgt. Cota said the crash occurred in the same area where a Tesla rammed into a semi last year, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

“Why do these vehicles keep doing that? We’re just lucky that people aren’t getting injured,” Sgt. Cota said.

Also on Tuesday, Greek police said the driver of a Tesla Model 3 blamed a malfunction in the car’s autopilot feature for a crash in a highway in northern Greece last week. No one was injured in the accident, and the driver didn’t b

Clearly.

I'd never risk the lives of my customers and the public to test a product.

Would you are you smarter than that?

How will it improve traffic flow? If the elevator can only take one car at a time, what's the point? Can you imagine the line up of traffic? What would make that any different than what it is now? As stated in the article, it'll make things even worse.

Now if he was talking a train with access to various parts of the city, that would make more sense and, hopefully, take some cars off the road. But "car" tunnels? Seriously?

Tailgating creates a long line of people piling on the brakes doing stop and go surges, not merging like a zipper, fatigue, distractions, weather and more.

Elon Musk's very rapid underground transportation system will feature 150 mph buses

This how it is supposed to work. Whether it is feasible or not remains to be seen, but if it does it would eliminate a large number of traffic problems.

A self-driving car wouldn't work with my mother-in-law in the passenger seat. She'd still find a way to badger the on-board computer into an accident.
