Canadian lumber producers face average 27% duties after 2nd wave of U.S. trade action - Politics - CBC News
Hmmm... Well, if the US wants its imports to become more expensive, maybe Canada could help out. May I recommend a USD0.05/kg and USD0.05/kilowatt export tariff to the US, to be increased by USD0.05 each year, all to help our US friends out of course. Any product or service that is devoid of mass or energy would be exempted from this tax of course, such as much of the service industry, copyrights, patents, software, etc.
