We are all being rude but you're keeping it up long after the fact. The only personal pissing contest here has been you and me. You butt in in the first place, re-started it first thing this morning and continue now. I went for coffee for about an hour and a half after breakfast, and when I got home there had been no break in the childish attacks by "your gang". If I have ruffled feathers that is tough. My feathers have been ruffled too, and I will not back down just because I am new. You say I should cut the crap? I was gone for most of the morning and you kept stirring. I don't buy in to your Queen Bee persona. My cutting the crap didn't have any effect. You cut the crap. I just insert a post every now and then to see what will happen and "your gang" continues on auto-pilot.
Then there is the gender thing. One pin prick and the whole Canadian political correctness scene lights up. Give it a break. You rely on your gender for effect or you would post an a-sexual name. You will notice there is no gender reference in most names here - mine included. I am not going to give wiggle room based on gender, and I reserve the right to call you on it when I see it relied on. If was wrong in this issue you wouldn't still be squirming almost a day later.
Some bent Yanks and their supporters are intervening too, but that is because I keep posting unpleasant realities about America. These realities are well accepted internationally and are approved by others here. They are natural political fodder. My Inbox comments are running about 15 to 1 scoring my posts as "Good". Telling ES that the US Marines are seen as 21st Century SS might offend your sense of Canadian politeness, but it is true as is the history I quoted in support. I don't go to a US site and post my RCN icons below my name. Why Americans think that continuous reference to their military past is impressive is beyond me, but any who wish to keep their icon up here can expect political comment. Frankly, given US war mongering and bullying, I find it offensive. I am a Canadian veteran on a Canadian site and I don't post Canadian naval icons. Given what I have generally seen of right wing former US Marines on line, I find the icons offensive. Maybe its a "man thing", but to me the flaunting of an American military icon on a Canadian site is borderline offensive. It is akin to a Yank military unit flying their flag in a Cdn base. I have never posted a Cdn naval jack or other identifying Cdn military icon on a US site.
