:( but. but. but. *pout*

Okay, but in all seriousness.... there are people on here who I disagree with constantly that I call friend, and wouldn't hesitate to get together with. On the flip side, there are people whose views are similar to mine, that I can't stand, and would never meet in a million years.

I think the bottom line, this is a community. So even many of those who do constantly disagree, relish in the heated debates have, over time, generated a degree of respect between them. Two members could be exact opposites and real rivals but often they'll express the same good wishes or condolences towards another member, that suggests that even though they may not have much in common, they have this forum in common.

For me there are some genuine friendships I've developed here and many acquaintances (PoliticalNick is just being mean )

In my opinion, people aren't necessarily chafing against an ideal being insulted but what's being percieved as (and what I believe to actually be) a real lack of respect for the community in entirety.

Ha! No kidding? They look different.
Without knowing when the photo was taken be it pre or post proper kit was purchased makes a difference.
We weren't ready at all. My bro inlaw had to buy a lot of kit himself before the Canadian Forces ordered the right gear.

Nope. Then again I'm on the yellowhead going to Edmonton to see a specialist for my back since it isn't improving from the accident last month.
No, I am not driving before anyone gets their knickers in a knot. ;-)
Ask for baclofen.

Sending good thoughts you get that sorted out. Hate to see you stuck with back troubles.

That could explain the heavy casualties in desert combat. 8O

Heavy casualties? I recall hearing of no "heavy" Cdn. casualties. Our guys were in desert pattern camo for a long time.

Hope your back improves, PN.

Ask for baclofen.

Been taking Flexeril which helps some but got one spot that just won't get better even though most of it has settled. I'm much more concerned with seeing the neurologist next week, permanent headache & dizziness.

They are different. Our camo has larger blocks than you guys from what I've found online.

Here's hoping they can fix you up Nick.

What a hoot, typical Yank floats a picture of a Brit officer standing in front of a Union Jack when he thinks he's chucking sh!t at a Canadian. That's your US standard of education for you.

Hey dumb azz... whos this again?

Haven't read many here.

Seriously.... cut the crap. People are ganging up (and I honestly hate when we do that) to tell you you've been rude and dissed the whole forum, and your response is to KEEP doing it? Sheesh. Seriously, take some advice, even if it IS from a woman, and get back on track. Clean slate, start now.

Don't do it Tober.....its a trap....first you take advice from a woman, next thing you know your chained to a wall in a leather thong being flogged. 8O

I agree with you about hating it, I do too, except for when you can clearly see the pattern where people have tried to convey in much more subtle manner and it doesn't work. Bottom line is, when someone's head is as thick as a brick, you need a sledge hammer to get through to the inside of it.

And even then, often it doesn't work.

I feel confident speaking on behalf of all women here that there is absolutely no danger of that ever happening.
