They needed a war so badly to avenge 9/11. Instead of sending more troops to find OBL he invaded Iraq for no reason whatsoever. As I said before, it is easier to invade a country than leaving it.

Remind of a country the US went to war with that ended up staying.

With all due respect, all the wars they went to they came out running. They couldn't stay as body bags were coming home.

With all due respect, you are not being accurate at all. With the exception of Vietnam which was a 30 year war, I know of no other war we started and never finished. Or even paid to help rebuild for that matter, which one are you talking about?

FDR led us into World War II.
Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea.
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,
an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
Over 2,900 lives lost on 9/11.

No sweat, we all get caught up. I don't think anybody on this board cheers the death of any soldiers.

I wouldn't be so fast to mention that ITN. I think a lot of people on this board relish in the deaths of US Soldiers and Marines.

You know there is a difference between not admiring a particular governemant or the reasons for war. Enjoying soldiers die, or anyone dying in violent conflict for that matter is never relished by those who are not in the conflict...unless you get off on that sort of thing.

The soldiers are just doing their job, it's too bad they're employer is a nut.

Eaglesmack, I defy you to find a post where a forum member cheered the death on any soldier.

I wouldn't think of being happy at the death of any soldier or any human being. I think the people who are happy could be found in the White House counting their Oil Money.
