We do need to go to Sudan and help.
And yes, Serbia, Yugoslavia, Somalia does count in Clintons wars. I think there was a few days in the 90's when no bombs were dropped.
Probably the longest time America was not at war was the beginning of the 2nd world war in 1939. America didn't want to get involved.

Why should we have? By the threads I read here we should not have been involved as Germany did not attack us. Nor should Canada have been involved if you want to stay consistent with your typical line of thinking.

You can't have it both ways.

This thread is called "America at War". America is always at war. I cant think of a time when they werent. Maybe for a few days when Clinton was in power.

Serbia, Yugoslavia, Somalia... firing missles into the Sudan and Afghanistan...

Do those count?

They sure do. However, he did specify "a few days".

I stand corrected.

Germany invaded other countries and killed millions of people so Canada got involved. When Iraq invaded Kuwait Canada joined the US. This current war in Iraq was not supported by the UN and there was no reason to go. Canada was right in not getting involved. And because of that we're not billions of dollars in debt, like the U.S. (And you thought the right wing was about saving money).
In Sudan people are suffering. Since 1983, the war and famine have resulted in more than 2 million deaths and over 4 million people displaced. So Canada should get involved.

Quotes & Wisdoms:

"All that talk about "liberation" twenty, thirty years ago, all the plotting, all the bodies, produced this, this impoverished broken-down country led by a gang of cruel and paternalistic half-educated theorists.": -Former Vietcong General Pham Xuan An, quoted by Lewis Sorley, A Better War

=

"The hidden hand of the market will never work without a hidden fist. McDonald's cannot flourish without McDonnell Douglas, the designer of the U.S. Air Force F-15. And the hidden fist that keeps the world safe for Silicon Valley's technologies to flourish is called the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.": - Thomas Friedman

"Every 10 years or so, the US needs to pick up some small, crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business.": - Michael Ledeen

Pentagon has been and is in blinders. They had been cautioned, warned, but (as usual) didn't listen.

All that mighty /exotic military equipment and all it takes is a simple /but creative human being to create the fear that exists in the US today.

Has the US ever considered the fact that it might be the author of its own problems??? ........and eventually its own undoing, if it is not a lot more careful .

The world has seen extremes before.... extreme power, extreme money, extreme military , extreme selfishness, extreme arrogance.......and extreme religion. .......and yet it has not learned the wisdom of the middle path, the path of compromize, cooperation and genuine humanitarian assistance . Everything ,must have a balance. A ying/yang so to speak. Anything off balance is out of the norm .

They needed a war so badly to avenge 9/11. Instead of sending more troops to find OBL he invaded Iraq for no reason whatsoever. As I said before, it is easier to invade a country than leaving it.
