"Right, I'm sorry you have to resort to insults by calling me a loser because you have nothing more intelligent to say..."- Hey do me a favour, I won't address any more of your posts and you don't bother with mine.......it's perfectly Okay for people to disagree but I don't tolerate lying.

It's a one Province party. They have no vested interested in Canada. Just Quebec. Do you think everything good for Quebec is good for BC? You might have not noticed but Provinces like BC have been living with useless language laws to appease Quebec. It's all gimme gimme from that Province in terms of politics. Nothing good for the rest of Canada. I think we out west need to wake up and perhaps think separation, if this is the future of federal politics.

Kreskin- I agree and disagree, at least we don't make people who want to put up signs do it in English. It wouldn't be in OUR best interest to separate.

It isn't in our interest to be governed this way either.

This could turn out just to be a "tempest in teapot"- most Canadians aren't going to stand for one minute having the Bloc rammed down their throats by the likes of Layton.

The deck has been stacked against the west forever. Finally an honestly elected federal government that takes some interest in Manitoba west sits in Ottawa, then this piece of work gets pulled. Sooner or later, enough is enough.

The problem is that Harper only cares about the West and we wont have that.. Since Harper has been in power, his government has not done anything to help the manufacturing and forestry sectors of Ontario and Quebec. These industries employ 100s of thousands of Canadians but the Tories didn't lift a finger . Now they are trying to eliminate their opponents instead of acting with stealth and coming out with a quick stimulus plan.

Too many Canadians depend on the manufacturing sector for employment for these industries to be neglected. They have been since 2006...

We Easterners can't have that I'm sorry..

What do you suggest they do to help the forestry sector? There is no market for the product. Will Jack invent one or just put everyone on the dole? The only effective stimulus is a healthy US housing sector. Even Obama inserted as PM couldn't pull that off.

You guys need to realize that the PM can't part the Red Sea. BC is ground-zero for forestry issues. Even we don't expect the guy to invent markets that don't exist. Like it or not, everyone will need to wait for markets to return. Until then no amount of rotating coaloitions will be worth a hill of beans.

You hit the nail right on the head there. Actually I'm pretty much dead against the gov't bailing out any business- if the gov' t feels it must impose a financial incentive I think it should go directly to the tax payer in the form of a cash payback for buying certain products (on a sliding scale, the greener the product the biggest the cash rebate) or perhaps in the form of an income tax rebate.
