Re: Carbon Tax Announced for 2017

Alberta to introduce economy-wide carbon tax in 2017

Alberta’s NDP government is imposing new curbs on emissions from the oil sands and establishing an economy-wide carbon tax in a sweeping new plan aimed at showing it is serious about fighting climate change.

bold moves mentalfloss, bold moves! Considering consumers will receive rebates to compensate for the 4.3¢ hit on gas at the pump... yes, only 4.3¢... not the incorrect 7¢ mentioned by another CC member earlier... not so bad, hey!

considering it was industry lobbying for the carbon tax... is there a problem? A phase out of coal... way to follow the Ontario lead!

"Science Centre" ... That alone says Communist Hippy to me.

wiki says "the umbrella Edmonton Space Science Centre" has been named so since 1984... taking on various name shifts to sub-sections during that time. Apparently, a latest name, "Telus World of Science" has Telus quite comfortable being associated with your suggested "Communist Hippy" labeling. Go figure, hey!

Everybody knows that this "Science" is a leftie liberal thing from the East. Real men don't hold to this "Science" fad.

clearly Harper's "enemies of the state" approach didn't help appease pipeline protests/resistance... clearly Harper's purposeful attempts to disrupt/derail past COP meetings didn't garner any international favour... clearly Harper's purposeful ignoring of his own emission reduction targets/commitments didn't advance market opportunities!

Clearly you are still an idiot.

How would suggest getting her out before the 4 years are up?

Recall. All the modern provinces have it.

AKA killing union jobs. And the dippers claim to represent the working people. A responsible government would enhance the coal fired plants since there is several hundred years supply available nearby.
