Ah I should have explained, my father doesn't have his Canadian passport, he has his American. He is a dual citizen, my mother is Canadian also, but she doesn't have a passport and is just going to use her American green card. I will try to contact the consulate again per your advice of attaining a passport, thank you very much for your time karrie.

Thanks, just called the border agency again. They said that the worst that can happen since I am Canadian is I would have to go into the building to the immigration centre and they would just have the verify who I am.

...and toss you into a detention center for months until they verify this.. lol

Just kidding, that's the USA not Canada.

The only thing I did was direct him to a government website.... did the same thing he could have done... no secrets given.

I was just saying it was reminding me of someone in the USA who committed identity fraud, the guy is in jail where he belongs..

I didn't insinuate you did anything wrong, so why did you get your back up. Take it easy already.

No worries, the crossing at Coutts, Alberta - Sweetgrass, Montana border is pretty easy going..

The problem is not entering Canada, Canadians are reasonable and pretty much easy going.

...it's returning to the USA that will be a problem. YOU NEED A PASSPORT!!

The American border patrol or ICE like to fondle their guns a little too much.;-)

Yeah I won't be returning to America ever so that isn't much of an issue. I think we are going to cross at Carway because we are stopping in Cardston for a few days to visit my grandmother. Thanks for the info if I get detained I will be sure to drag a mug back and forth across the bars.

Just a little south of where I live there is not much border patrol on either side of the border..

Depending on which country you resent that day.. you can stand on one side, and piss on the other.. in short; "Piss on blank"

Easier to get across, better border? Friendlier Border officers? Or more comfortable beds in the detention cell?

Wow that's gorgeous B00mer. Living in ugly Las Vegas for so long I am not use to seeing such colour.
