I have 7 sections. Did 4 fall from the sky?

We have no way of knowing where the other 4 came from. You may have borrowed against the 3 you were given. In fact, you may not even have 7. It not like I'm inclined to believe much of what you say on this forum. The only thing we know for a fact is that you admit to being given 3 sections. As I said, good for you getting a hand up. I just wouldn't embarrass myself, if I was you, by criticizing other peoples work ethic. Some people aren't as lucky as you.

You have some reading to do Putz.

We all know you lie through your teeth . That is your world not mine.

Are you backtracking now? Are you saying you weren't given the 3 sections? Perhaps you should just pick one story and stick to it.

Not at all. You asked if we should discuss you and I want to know why you lie? Do you feel inadequate? Marginalized? Lack confidence in who you really are? Do you yearn to be included? Just want to piss like the big dogs? What are you gaining? I was indifferent to you until you lied. Why? Is your life that bad? Do you envy those who have lives? Does it hurt? Do you ever have feelings of harming yourself?

Sure. What are you gaining by lying?

Putz may be interested to know that his hero one of the "Sedin Sisters" was honoured at the Canuck game tonight for playing his 1000th game with the Canucks, only the third one in history, his other hero Henrik Sedin passed that milestone awhile back. Of course Putz thinks they are a couple of sissies!:)

I see canuck doesn't think working a 7 section farm in Saskatchewan takes any work. I would say that says more about canucks lack of work experience more than anything else.

gerryh, did you know all you have do is walk into the CO-OP with a bag of soil and you can have anything in the store? If I'm passing it off to the next generation, I'm only gaining from what I grow and harvest. It doesn't make me rich that's for f-cking sure.

Like gerryh pointed-out, there is a helluva lot of work attached to that land, not only in sweat equity, but real dollars in fuel, equipment, seed, etc, etc... It's a long list.

In the end, that land and homestead represents more of a commitment on your part than it does a dollars & cents asset... I know a few families that have taken a similar opportunity to amass a land base and provide futures and careers for generations of their family members.... It would be really easy to just monetize that land in an outright sale, but in holding that land and passing it along does require is a heavy commitment and pride.

In many regards, your inheritance wasn't really a house and few sections, it was inheriting the family tradition with the responsibility of promoting those values down to your family.

Don't be silly. I live in a rural area and I usually help out some farmer at seeding or harvest. I know exactly what it takes to farm. I know how much work it takes to build a farm up and I know what it takes to be handed one in a will. In fact my wife was left land that is currently rented out.

I just gotta laugh at the double standard.
