Re: Alberta faces structural deficit even if oil rebounds

Alberta is getting what they should have expected to get. They elect the kind of
government that cares only about one group in society. The medical plans and
social programs were gutted a long time ago. Now they are in trouble the jobs
are gone and the people are in worse condition than ever before.

Price of oil will remain low just because the interest will be rising to the double digits in the near future and with the bio-fuels and alternative energy and a longer lasting battery just around the corner Alberta will eventually turn into a have not province. OPEC has seen the writing on the wall and they opted for cheap oil which Alberta tar sands can't compete with.

Yeah, without the obvious Alberta hate that the cbc (and others) knows and loves. Oh, and it's the actual report from TD.

Yes, TD revealing a structural deficit is part of CBC's hate driven agenda.

That place on the bottom of Asia.

And why will Eurasia and the Saudis and the Africans not gobble up the declining Chinese demand and easily service it. You don't seem to factor the west being smothered into yer thinkin.
The famous sanctions agin the Russians are being laughed at. I have one word for you Baltic Dry.

Lots of jobs to be had around here. Oil can stay at $20/barrel as far as I'm concerned.

The Alberta economy is strong and I think will always remain strong..

Here is the photo I snapped on the way north. (as promised, busy highway)

2 new Hotels being built and a new long term airport parking lot next to them.

Lots of other construction, office and warehouse complexes under construction. Oh yeah and a new Cabela's just before this..

It's crazy around here..

You are really on glue.

AB spends the most in all of Canada on a per person basis for all gvt services. All your rant is about is a veiled attempt at promoting a form of class warfare that exists only in your mind.

FYI - the income demographic that is currently taking the biggest hit are the top income folks... This should make you feel much better.
