Right! It's not a matter of bigotry at all. Just a matter of sex-the ladies have their own bathrooms,as do the men. So,the third sex should have separate bathrooms. Now,that they are out in the open, what is the problem with that?

Are you serious? A third sex?

What exactly do you think goes on in bathrooms??

They can use the private washrooms for the disabled and nursing mothers. Seems fair.

you're kidding aren't you???? Disabled require room for wheelchairs etc. Nursing moms usually have an area in the female bathroom.

What is the big deal???? Homo phobia???

How's the weather up there Ocean?

I still don't understand why exactly there is this view that homosexuals need to have a separate bathroom. It is totally segregation based on prejudice.

In response to lib, your quote says "over half those", over half of those what?

You could put pretty much any group in there, and I'd bet over half would report between 6 and fifty partners, and to meeting in bars and other venues. Your quote proves nothing.

I would bet the would want it themselves! That is part of their CRUISING... the mens rooms.

Uhhh yeah, I was kidding.

Lots of places here have private washrooms for the disabled and nursing mothers with a changed table etc. That's how the idea......ooops, I mean joke came about.

Oh God. Seriously?

Possibly in gay bars, just as straight men use the womens line up for the washroom to cruise for "chicks".

Contrary to the opinion apparently prevalent in this thread, gay people are not out to hit on straight people. Or to convert them, or to defile them or any other such nonsense.

They are people looking for love, and sometimes just looking for a lucky night, just like any red blooded straight male (and many straight females!! :) )

Oh I am not saying they are looking to hit on straight guys. I agree with you there. But I am saying that they tend to gravitate to highway rest areas, public rest rooms.

Look at George Michael. DO you think that was his first time trying to meet a man in the public men's rooms? Do you think the cop was taking a bathroom break?

Of course not... it was a sting to stop this type of activity that goes on and Georgie boy got caught in it.

It gets better, this is what came before before lib's quote:
Surveys show that some homosexual men later marry and maintain exclusive heterosexual relationships. However, the most startling fact to emerge from many studies has been the enormous number of different partners some homosexual men used to have in a year

Used to have??

Be my guest.
It's a UK based survery that also says that there basically isn't a lot of gay men or men who have had homosexual experiences in their life up to the point of being questioned. For some reason I'd rather see a N. Amerian study.

Stereotypes and generalizations. Best to steer clear.

Besides, I know plenty of straight people who have also frequented public restrooms for their fun. It's the thrill of maybe getting caught, you know? :)

No... it is very real. I am from Mass and more than half of the rest areas on the highways have been closed. They had a special report on it on the news here. This one male reporter with a hidden camera sat by himself at rest area and he was not there for 5 minutes before other men came up to him wanting to get lucky. Of course the State Police where there to arrest everyone of them. They run stings like that all the time. My buddy is a Statie and he said there are websites that specify certain public restrooms and they even have a rating on how safe the spots are. Safe meaning free from Police observation.

It is no stereotype... it is fact.

My ex drives a truck and he has mentioned being propositioned by male and female prostitues in Illinois and Ohio truck stops and rest areas. Were they both people trying to "get some" and hookers?

I would have to say yes. Rest stops and Truck stops are just spooky places. I hate to stop in those places with my family as we travel the highways of America in the summer. I keep my boys stuck to my side like glue.

Good...Now we can move on to sanitising our drug policies, legalising no-rake poker outright, and not subjecting our economy to Sino-American domination.

As for the Catholic Church, my opinion of it can be described via my favourite anti-clerical slogan:

"DUPLESSIS, NON MERCI!!!!"
