taxslave, George W. Bush earned respect by being elected an re-elected by the Amereican people. If punks like you and gerryh can't realize that (and obviously, neither can your God and Annointed One, Obama) too bad.

So does Obama deserve respect for just getting elected as well even though he is as much of a f*ck up as Bush was?

Junior didn't win either election. His daddy and the CIA rigged both elections. And if his brother hadn't of intervened they would have lost a rigged vote on the first one.
You should try using spell check so your ignorance doesn't show so much. American - not Amereican
Anointed -not Annointed
Your welcome.

No it wasn't.

Nice try though.

It was simply a failure of vote taking machines and the electoral college system.

No mass conspiracy.

Don't gives a hoot but the more important question is why doesn't Canada's Prime Minister have an Air Force One?

Uh, that would probably due to the fact that our PM is not under threat from bunch of nutjobs dedicated to ending his life?

taxslave YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!!!

Nitpicking at one's spelling is a sure sign of admission of defeat, with no valid argument to support your views. Not only you are an idiot, you are also PATHETIC!

The Canadian Forces Air Command operates five Airbus A310-300s (CC-150 Polaris), flown by crews of 437 Transport Squadron, based at CFB Trenton, one of which is configured for VIP transport, as well as four Bombardier Challenger 600 business jets (CC-144), operated by 412 Squadron in Ottawa. These planes are charged with flying members of the Canadian Royal Family, Governor General of Canada, the Prime Minister of Canada, and other high ranking government officials and foreign dignitaries. The CC-150 Polaris is primarily used for long distance trips while the CC-144 is used for short distance trips.

This of course dosen't include the protection the RCMP provide the PM.

So much for that theory.

Then explain why every republican president has used the transport available to them, even when campaigning.

By definition, every sitting president who flies is in AirForce1.

Aside from that I am not sure that having Airforce 1 is all that convenient for campaign purposes since it is a 747 and can only land at the large airports. Also requires a lot of extra security that may make campaigning difficult. It is also a big target.

AirForce1 is not the plane.

AirForceOne is an extension of the White House and other government buildings/offices afforded the use of by the sitting incumbent. The aircraft belongs to the people of the USA and is flown, operated and maintained by government military people in this instance the Air Force.

The aircraft is an extension of the Office of the President, primarily defensive, not offensive and is equipped with defensive functions to protect the holder of the highest office in the government of the U.S.A.

There is a second "clone" of this aircraft which is a look-a-like and either one can be in use by the President - accompanied usually by F-16 fighters even over domestic airspace.

I doubt if any sitting president would understand all of the workings of AirForce One but the staff operating the craft would be of the highest responsible reputation for
maintaining his safety, accurate communications in and out, and destination certain.

AirForceOne is not the aircraft, though.
AirForceOne is ANY aircraft flight that the President is on. Any helicopter flight that he is on is Marine One.
People use the term to refer to the aircraft, but it's not correct.

TenPenny - sorry I thought that was clear - AirForceOne is the call name only - the equipment is rotated.

There isn't just one aircraft assigned for that duty - any more than there is only one pilot and crew.
