Agitators participating in a “Black Lives Matter” peaceful anti-police protest in Phoenix Friday ended it by throwing rocks at officers and threatening to kill them.

Aw, c'mon. It won't be so bad.

Police weren't expecting or prepared for a sniper (and not like that cowardly beltway sniper brother firing out of the trunk of his car years back either) in Dallas but law enforcement everywhere will alter their tactics and training now. The scuffle won't last very long.

Like has been shown in Canadian marches, the agitators were probably agent provocateurs. The militarized police need to justify the expense for armored vehicles, bomb robots and and all the other military equipment they are using against their own citizens. People who think this military build up is to protect them against terrorist are just plain dumb. Their government is the terrorist organization they need protection from.

Well, as for the threat it's no surprise. Nothing they haven't been doing for at least 30 years. According to a US DOJ report, over the period 1980-2010 40% of cop killers were Black. Interestingly, in a separate DOJ report independently confirmed by a study from the University of Pennsylvania, it seems that Black cops are almost three and half time more likely to discharge their weapon at a crime scene.
But the most telling stat is this one. Although I can't find the same year for these, in 2015 only 4% of Black people who were killed were killed by cops. In 2008, 93% of the Black people who were killed were killed by other Black people.


Black lives certainly do matter, unfortunately BLM refuses to acknowledge who's doing the vast majority of the killing of Black people.
