Yea, oil is on its way out.
No, it's not. Only in your goofy little mind it is. Until the entire world is willing to give up all of their oil-based products, oil ain't going anywhere for a long time. There are thousands of consumer goods made with oil. Hundreds of those products are things we use every day like toothbrushes, toothpaste and the tube it comes in. Dish-washing soap and the bottle it comes in. Pantyhose, band-aids, paint, vaseline, various metal polishes, nail polish, cosmetics, electronics, lubricants that even EVs will need, lubricants for the wind turbine, all those container ships that bring these consumer goods to us, etc etc.

But yeah, oil is on its way out.

Yeah, Cliffy because it would be so much better if it traveled by rail.
That is it? We only have two choices. How about they leave that shit in the ground. It is all for export not domestic use. We don't need it ruining our environment for the profit of Exxon, Kinder Morgan and the Chinese. There is no upside for BC in this debacle.

We have useless people like you to pay for. BC has had oil flowing down Kinder Morgan line for quite sometime.

Hypocrisy much?

How many cords of wood you burn through in a year?

... I take it that it's that extra special, carbon-free, non GHG emitting wood?

Yep, just like Utah has extra special, carbon-free, non-GHG emitting oil sands. Whereas Alberta's oil sands are a "global disgrace".

I love how many boneheads in Canada have fallen for the anti-oil sands bullshit considering our oil has been smeared by the Russians, the Saudi's, Obama and the Tides Foundation.
And one can see why. The concept of ethical oil is hugely troubling for Russia and Saudi Arabia. As for the Tides Foundation and O'Bumwad, anyone who's been paying attention would know how grossly hypocritical they are.
