Abortion is a tough subject for me (well not to tough) Simply because I'm 90% sure that if abortion was legal in those days, I would not be here. So I think one might see it from that point of view also.

I think that Louis Farrakhan has a similar story to tell. His mother tried 3 times to abort him. Maybe that why he soooo ugly :)

Tibear, I both agree and disagree with you.

For me at least, it is about choice. I dislike the idea of others making a choice for me based on their ideals.

However, isn't this what we do to those parents who believe that female circumcision is a religious right??? We impose our beliefs onto them??

RB,
If you aren't talking about the soul of a child, then you have to revert to when the fetus is naturally viable. Those are the parameters we have to work with.

At first you said once a child was viable and now your changing it. Could you please clarify. BTW, does your opinion hold the same for individuals who cannot life without human aid once they leave the womb??

Just wondering if your consistent with your beliefs??

Tibear, i get your point on logic.

should abortions be legal?
yes
for a thousand reasons yes.

do i think this would be a debate now or ever, if men could get pregnant too?
no
absolutely not.
abortion would have been sanctioned and sought and perfected...oh, what do you think, about 2000 years ago?

i personally think abortion is awful. i can't imagine ever getting one. and maybe, i'm lucky because i can't imagine it.

i think late term abortions are absolutely horrific. truly terrible. murder. as the baby would be able to survive outside the womb.

do you know what the procedures are to destroy a baby in the womb in the third trimester? nazi stuff.

finally, what i think should also be legalized, is mandatory sterilization for women who get multiple abortions, because they are too stupid to use the pill or a condom and consider abortion as another form of birth control.
how's that for fascism?
