Abortion demonstration just doesn't sound right.

And if you want an abortion, you should have one.

I'll say it again, forcing unwanted babies into society is detrimental.

If you read this thread, having unwanted children will, apparently, cause the parents to become responsible and successful adults who live a life of bliss.

I figure that if you don't want to have an abortion, you shouldn't have one.

Quite simple, really.

And if you want an abortion, you should have one.

What is being suggested, is that people take responsibility for their actions. You can't get pregnant by "accident". A specific act must be preformed for pregnancy to occur. No one can get pregnant walking down the street. They have to have sex. If you have chosen to have sex, then you take responsibility for your decision. If you don't want to raise a child, then you give that child up for adoption. You don't arrange to have it killed.

If you read this thread, having unwanted children will, apparently, cause the parents to become responsible and successful adults who live a life of bliss.

Really? Where did it say that?

Hehe, what a lovely fantasy world... not reality unfortunately.
.

Yup, the reality is that our society today promotes irresponsibility, selfishness, and a disregard for life.

No pro-choice/pro-life debate would exist if that were true.

I blame capitalism

A condom could break, that could potentially impregnate a woman... just one example.

Condoms have a 3 to 14% failure rate depending on use. The vast majority of that failure is from improper use. These facts are readily known. Therefore a pregnancy due to a condom failure is not an accident but a foreseeable possibility. Again, you can't get pregnant by accident. A specific act must occur.

all accidents are foreseeable possibilities

Are you being purposely obtuse, or are you really that stupid?

It is a FACT that the only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstention. Every other form you are "rolling the dice" with. They all have the possibility of getting pregnant. Therefore, no pregnancy is an accident when sex is involved. Now if a woman was to get pregnant without having sex, practiced abstention, then that would be a true accident and we would be calling her Mary.

Not touchy, it's just one of those things that make me wonder why people claim they're here for discussion, and avoid it, only to preach.
Like you said When someone disrespects me I wont shy away from it. I do the best I can to have a good discusion and this guy disrespected me at least 3 times. If he starts discussing things without calling everyone a moron, stupid and asshole, I'll be more then happy to keep conversing with him in a respectful matter.

What kind of power is that?
The Power of truth

Because of the use of expletives?
All the deeply disturbed people Iv know usually use expletives in the same way Gerryh use's them in his post in response to others view points.

One of those acts is rude, based on frustration, the other completely ignorant, and meant only to shout someone down. Which do you think yours is?
I think gerryh has some deep psychological problems caused by trauma in his past.
I have good reason to belive he has. People that automatically respond to anything with insult
withought real provocation is a sign of deeply scared and troubled human beings.
This has always proven me right in the pass.

That's right, which makes immigration a necessity
Yep.

Your argument was literally that it's not an accident because it's a foreseeable possibility, well accidents are foreseeable possibilities. It's still a ****ing accident.

When sex occurs without the intention of having child (this happens often), and the woman ends up finding herself pregnant, it's an accident period. Perhaps a dumb accident and one easily preventable in some cases, but an accident none the less.

That response was directed to PoliticalNick, specifically for his use of the word 'touchy', in response to me.

So that's your excuse for accusing him of beating his wife and raping his kids?

Weak.

I'll correct that right now. As soon as you post something intelligent, I'll give you one too.

No, it's call being irresponsible. To have sex, knowing that you could get pregnant, and then saying it was an "accident" is being irresponsible. To then arrange to have the baby killed is beyond irresponsible and selfish.

Again, having sex can always produce a pregnancy. In this day and age everyone knows this. To have sex with the assumption that you won't get pregnant is beyond stupidity.

With abortion so easily available, responsibility is taken out of the equation. Self interest and selfishness are the over riding factors and abortion becomes birth control because control over ones body and actions are the furthest thing from their mind.

The guy accidentally stuck his penis inside her and came? Slid down a hill and kablam....instant sex act?

That is one complex accident.

No it's not irresponsible, it's more responsible. If you don't want the baby, do NOT have it! Because otherwise, you're forcing an unwanted child into a world that may have to sit through terrible foster homes, a child that may have depression or other psychological problems as a result of feeling unwanted by his biological parents , a child that could potentially turn to crime.. it's all detrimental if we try to force unwanted babies into society.
