Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson is granting municipalities a twenty-year waiver to keep dumping raw sewage in fish habitat. The regulatory notice follows a 2019 promise to “keep our waters safe, clean and well-managed”.

What about the black lives downstream?

BC is by far the worst. 5 million people account for 40% of all the raw sewage dumped in Canada on a yearly basis.
Actually only a couple of million. The rest of us have septic systems that work just fine. of course it is only city folk that are allowed to dump raw sewage, everyone else has to have treatment of some kind.
