Alaskans are Americans and Hawaiians are Americans.

Just because people from Quebec are French and not Canadian doesn't mean people from Alaska and Hawaii aren't Americans.

Canada has the identity problem, not the US.

Of course technically they are American, just that many don't really feel American or part of the US. Both states have their own way of thinking and doing things that is distinctly different from the 48 contiguous states. This is something I've been told from residents of both states when I visited.

Sounds like Quebec - does that mean Newfoundland and Vancouver Island residents are not really Canadian also??? You know
...separated from the main land....and so on

Hey, these are not my opinions, I'm just going by what people told me in Anchorage and Juneau when I was there. As for Hawaii, yes they are like Quebec, they have a distinct culture, language, and way of life. Of course they have American passport, but many of the islanders said that they don't particullariy have any affinity to the US and other Americans. In that, they don't consider themselves true Americans.

Are the Alaskans and Hawaiian who said this wrong in how they feel? Are they morons? Do they speak for the whole state, of course not! But I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.

Nope the eagle is a scavenger, he will hunt if he has to..but like all scavengers, the easy way works best....Please don't tell me about bird I have watched all my life, up close and personal.

Although its kinda fun to jig a cod and give a bonk on the head and throw him overboard and watch the bald one his self swoop down and ever so casual scoop up that cod. 8) beat a b52 dropping bombs any day.

Well this is my first visual experience of what frostbite does to human appendages.........

The genleman with the worst of it sure has an excellent attitude. I loved his reasons behind not caring that he's going to loose his fingers and toes. He Said "I can still hug my kids"

Did any of you hear about Mr. Koch lost on Grouse mt? It's been 8 days and they still have found no evidence of him what so ever. Those in charge state No evidence of suicide or foul play or running away. Although experts have said that they will have located him by Tuesday (2 days ago) and that the mountain is not that big......

Yes I decided to stop by and see what has been going on in my absence. I figured you would miss me.

Yes, indeed.

I miss the toothache after I've been to the dentist, too.....

Gawd, you guys still going on about this.

this type of argument happened last time. Except that the debate centred round whether the eagle could take a beaver or a beaver take the eagle.

Thankfully it was settled with scientific facts as to the capabilities of both and then the bell rang......

Well hey... don't let facts get in the way of your argument. I copied and pasted that off a nature website... but hey, you know better than the experts. Perhaps you should educate them.

Funny I do not even remember you. You must not have said anything worthwhile remembering.

What a pity.
