Plenty mention it... but the left doesn't like to acknowledge it. 50 doctors in bc paid for a billboard saying "we can go back to work tomorrow, let us help" and the gov't is silent. The media doesn't mention it much either

Eh, medical staff in NB can go to work vaccine or not now, been that way since April.

And how many left the industry waiting? NB may be different, it's a pretty small microcosim compared to the rest of the country but it's been well documented that even when you lift the restrictions you don't get all the people back. Now MAYBE your area has so many qualified people that they don't run into staffing issues for that particular reason. But that isn't common.

I remember something back in Jan or Feb about money for 1500 EMS to be trained ASAP.

How is that coming along?
Well i don't know but i hope it's going really well ... that would just about replace the people we lost due to this gov't stupidity of firing perfectly able people that we didn't have enough of to begin with.

My wife went through the mandates and ended up at a private facility on the island making more and doing only what the job description entails.

A lot of people made that kind of decision - and then more decided to leave who WEREN'T mandated because without those workers they were forced to work insane overtime under horrible conditions and it just sucked.

The situation was so mishandled it isn't funny.

Discounting natural immunity after having covid made absolutely no sense. Back in the day TB and pox sanitariums were staffed with 100% survivors.
