6-year-old Happy Meal disturbingly looks almost fresh

A mom from Alaska recently found a Happy Meal she bought six years ago -- and it's barely changed a bit.

When Jennifer Lovdahl opened the box she discovered still sitting in her office, she was amazed the fries and McNuggets inside still looked edible.

"(It) has not rotted, molded, or decomposed at all!!! It smells only of cardboard," she posted on Facebook, along with a photo of the food -- looking a little dried out, but not overly aged. She also posted the receipt as proof of when it was bought.

"We did this experiment to show our patients how unhealthy this 'food' is. Especially for our growing children," she wrote.

The owner of a local chiropractic clinic recommended natural foods for kids instead of fast food with "so many chemicals."

"Choose real food! Apples, bananas, carrots, celery ... those are real fast food."

Third rock from the Sun
Once found a cheese burger underneath the seat of a company truck and believe it or not it looked 100% edible, except for the fact it was rock solid like a hockey puck..... lol

Boil it in water for 1/2 an hour and that would soften it right up and also kill any insects! :)

Apparently, processed cheese slices have a half life of a million years or so and if you slap one to a piece of glass and leave it for a decade, it will not change at all.

Hmmmm..... seems to me like she is contradicting herself. First she says that she "found" it in her desk, then she says that they did this "experiment".

If there were "maggots" I would say it wasn't cooked properly to begin with. If there was mold, it would be because it was left in a high humidity environment. Looks to me like it was dried out. I would expect it to look the way it does and would question if it didn't.

It's not surprising. Alaska is freezing cold. It's like a giant freezer. In fact, it's probably COLDER than my freezer at home.

Alaskans eat frozen whale.
